Akin was falling with his companions. Unlike Hollywood films, the space was much more empty and quieter than it looked. The only noise the boy heard was the sound of his own wheezing as he fell towards the green planet. He was beginning to enter orbit, reaching the atmosphere, about to get on fire.
"This is amazing!" Veiggo screamed as he descended at an absurd speed.
Even with the surreal speed, turning almost everything around him into a big black blur, Akin could still see the formation of a star not far from there. The star then started to move, making the boy feel strange, but then ignored it, thinking it was the effect of speed and where he was. Akin started pursing his lips, the boy was nervous, the calm ones, Avey and Pamil, screamed inside their armor, the audio shared between them leaked their despair. Veiggo seemed to be the only one enjoying himself, screaming all the time, but not out of fear. They could see the other soldiers right behind them, almost overtaking them in terms of speed.
"Is it my impression or is the planet getting bigger?!" Galeg asked with his head down towards the green planet. "We are approaching to enter the atmosphere." Avey spoke feeling dizzy. They were on a line in the shape of the letter V, getting closer and closer to entering orbit. Blavius led them from the front. On the left, Vantner, Avey and Pamil. While on the right were Galeg, Akin and Veiggo.
They had just entered the planet's atmosphere. However, the armor was made of Kannium, not passing the boiling heat to the armor, not affecting the user or even the outer side of the armor. The wings were made of a material incredibly resistant to high temperatures and gravitational pressures, keeping the same as before. The armor then began to communicate with Akin and the others. The artificial intelligence present in the armor, had calculated and analyzed the distance and height from the place where they should fall.
They were more than five thousand meters from the ground, at a speed of more than five kilometers an hour. They spread their wings, keeping speed under control and redirecting to the marked location. The captain got in touch. "We are monitoring you, vital signs are good. Arrive at the location marked on your electronic map, a ship will pick you up after landing." He said with a static hiss in the background.
The captain continued trying to communicate, to no avail. The hiss in the communication channel prevented them from hearing, or worse, they were out of line between them and the Foundation.
The planet was a kind of swamp, although planetary records describe it as sunny and greenish. This planet, however, was nothing like what had been described to them. It was covered in fog with huge trees and mountains, with the presence of a very strong dark green color, marking its presence on the planet. It had large channels of water in its soil, probably covering the entire planet. Having small portions of land.
Akin's electronic map stopped working a few seconds after the communication channel went to waste. They tried to communicate with other soldiers who had been seen at the entrance to the atmosphere, but to no avail. "Is anyone else missing the map?" Akin asked. "You too?" Galeg replied raising his eyebrows. "So, I'm not the only one." Vantner said.
"What the hell is going on?" Akin asked himself.
Just behind him came Veiggo, shouting on the channel shared between them. It was the only one that was not cut off from contact with the planet. Mainly because it was shared by the same source present in his armor, being different in the armor of each team.
The doubts and despair caused by the loss of communication and location were soon filled with screams and laughter of joy. They were having fun while flying, maneuvering in the air.
At some point, the captain would inform them of what had happened.
That's what they thought.
"What the f*ck are you trying to tell me?" Captain Sonomott shouted without believing what he had just heard from one of his ensigns. "Say it, again." He ordered. The woman had the courage to repeat it to the captain one more time.
"They are not on the planet, AFG-1789-II. I don't know how, or what happened, but the radar doesn't show any of the kids on it." The woman said nervously and stuttering. "Were they kidnapped? Teleported? Are you telling me that this fictional teleport sh*t is now real? That someone invented this sh*t and kidnapped the f*cking kids?!" He asked angrily. His face was red with anger, no one knew, not even he knew what was going on. They had traveled to a training planet belonging to the Foundation, but for some reason, the boys and girls disappeared from view.
They were gone.
And for some reason, only the sixth class' vital signs graph worked.
"Mandy," The captain said directly with the woman. "I'm sorry for speakin' that way with you. I'm just... just nervous. That's all." "No offense received, captain." Mandy replied. The captain leaned against the woman's desk, looking at the holographic computer screen, while she held a bluish holographic keyboard. "Can you track their armor?" Captain Sonomott asked. "Is this serious?" She said with a shrug. "Yes, it's serious. Their armor has a piece of---" "It was a rhetorical question, sir. I can track their armor. I think nervousness spoke louder, how come I didn't think about it before?" She said while using the computer keyboard and the computer's mobile screen, without even realizing it.
The vital signs chart had stopped being updated. Akin's heartbeat the moment the screen froze, stopped at one hundred and seventy heartbeats per minute. The captain wondered what had happened in the short time that they had disappeared from the radar. These many heartbeats per minute were not normal.
"YES!" The woman yelled. "I have their location. But.." Mandy said hesitantly, her eyes fixed and big on the screen. "But, what?" Captain Sonomott asked. She didn't respond, continuing to stare at her computer's holographic screen. The captain then approached, trying to understand what he was looking at.
His face went white, trying to understand what he just saw. "Do you have a record of their location?" He asked desperetaly. "Yes," She replied with pursed lips. "Well... just the name of the sector. The planet and its galactic system are unknown. The Foundation has not yet explored this area."
The captain felt insecure, holding the end of the computer table, leaning against it, waiting for the terrible news while his hands were shaking. "Where are they?" Captain Sonomott asked, already knowing the answer.
The woman felt the pressure, she was going to speak, but she held on. Everyone in the ship's control room stared at her, all nervous about the answer that would be given, even though everyone there already knew.
She bit her lip, turning to the captain.
"At the Unexplored Sector, sir."
