After a day of unconsciousness Aayuki finally got conscious. When she opened her eyes, she say the white walls and smell of medicine. She knew she was in a hospital. The nurse beside her noticed her waking up and immediately called the doctor.
Doctor: Young lady how are you feeling.
Aayuki: My whole body hurts.
Doctor: This is normal, compared to how you were hit so badly. Except for a hand fractures, a leg sprain and head injury everything else seems fine. I'd recommend 6 weeks of rest and regular checkups in the hospital.
Aayuki: I was glad nothing serious happened. Suddenly I remembered the old man and car driver. "Doctor I'd like to ask about and old man and a man who were also involved in the accident. Are they hurt."
Doctor: Young lady worry about yourself first before others. But the people you are talking about are alright. The old and young man, both are waiting outside for you to wake up. Would you like to meet them.
Aayuki: "No, it's fine if they are okay. Please tell them that I am fine and they may go to their own business." After the check up, the nurse and doctor went outside.
Outside the ward.....
Doctor: The patient is fine, you both don't need to worry about her.
Grandpa Eugene: Thank GOD she is fine, can we go in and meet her.
Doctor: The young lady said it is fine if you don't meet her. She said you should all go home and rest.
Ryan: Doctor you should understand that we would like to show our gratitude to the person who saved our life's. We won't be at ease until we do that.
Doctor: Alright, you may both go in and speak to the patient.
THANKS, both thanked the doctor and went in to meet her.
Inside the ward....
Aayuki who was laying down sensed someone coming in the room and looked over. She saw an old man and a handsome guy besides him coming towards her. She immediately recognized them. They were the people she had saved somehow.
Aayuki: Sir, are you alright. Did you get hurt somewhere that you needed to stay at the hospital. The doctor just now said you were fine, what happened.
Grandpa Eugene: You silly child. Why are being so courteous and apologizing. I should be saying thank you for saving this old mans life or I would be dead by now.
Ryan: Yes, Grandpa is right. Not only did you save his life but also mines. If you had not bumped into my car, who would know which accident I would get in and be hurt or even die. So we both want to thank you and show our gratitude.
Aayuki: It's alright, It just happened because I happened to see the incident and my body moved on it's own. I am sure if not me then someone else must have helped.
Hearing Aayuki speak, both the men were at awe and held even higher respect and appreciation for her. Such young blood but high moral value. They were sure that she didn't know them and acted out of greed to get a favor from them.
Ryan: This won't do. Whatever you say, you still our life. Please may we know your name.
Aayuki: Oh silly me, i forgot( she showed the tip of her pink tongue. Both grandpa Eugene and Ryan had the same thought that she was so cute). My name is Aayuki Castiello.
Grandpa Eugene: What a pretty name you have. How old are you, and what about your studies.
Aayuki: Sir I am 21 years old, and i just graduated almost a week ago. Now I am going to start my internship.
Ryan:( Castiello, is she related to Noah). Hi. My name is Ryan Miller. If you don't mind, may I ask if your related to Noah somehow.
Grandpa Eugene: I was also thinking the same, if your related to old man Max.
Aayuki: I was shocked. How do they know about brother Noah and Grandpa Max. I still replied" Yes I know both. Grandpa Max is my mother's father and Brother Noah is my maternal uncle's son, which makes him my cousin." Um, how do you both know them.
Ryan: We are family friends. Grandpa Max is friends with Grandpa Eugene and my Grandpa. While Noah is my childhood friend. So your cousins with him.
Grandpa Eugene: Is your mothers name Esabella.
Aayuki: "Yes, that's her name" I became a little sad hearing my mothers name.
Grandpa Eugene: Great, its been a long time since I have heard of her. How is she doing now a days. My family had moved to America for business purpose and only came back five years ago. Your mother was truly a lovely lady and very intelligent. Your grandpa used to love and pamper her the most out of your two uncles since she was a single daughter.
Aayuki: Hearing about my mother, her lovely face surfaced in my mind, and realization of how she was no more." My mother died five years ago." Then she started to silently tear up.
Seeing Aayuki tell about her mothers death, both Ryan and grandpa Eugene were first shocked. They felt sad for Aayuki, such pretty soul, without mother.
After crying Aayuki felt tired. Ryan sensed that she was tired and whispered to grandpa Eugene to let her rest and come tomorrow to visit her.
Grandpa Eugene: Child don't be sad. If your mother saw you crying like this she would be sad. You have a long life a head of you. Live for you and your mother. You seem tired. Take a rest and we will come meet you tomorrow.
Aayuki: Thank you, but no need. You already sent me to the hospital. No need to visit and waste your time. Once i get discharged I will leave. No need for such burden.
Ryan: What are you saying Aayuki. We would not feel burdened at all. We will surely come visit again. Rest up. See you tomorrow. Bye.
Hearing their words Aayuki couldn't say much more and agreed. After saying good bye to each other both men left the hospital. Ryan sent grandpa Eugene home then left to his house. When they both got home they told their family members about the accident and Aayuki. Both families hearing about it first felt shocked but then they also thanked Aayuki and felt sad for her. With that the ended with them eating dinner and sleeping.
In the hospital ward....After both men left Aayuki asked for a phone to make a call. Getting the call she first called Mr. Charles and told him about her injury and to postpone the will reading day to until she was healed. After that she hung up, she slept till dinner time and her dinner was provided by grandpa Eugene's instructions. It was healthy and rich in nutrients for bones.
