"What is the emergency?" Char asked as he checked his surroundings.

"That thing!" Anne pointed at the cave entrance where a giant orc was trying to enter the cave.

It was three meters tall with blood-red skin and carried a giant battle ax with it. It needed to duck to enter the cave since the cave was not that high.

The giant orc alone occupied space that was enough for three orcs! Char could feel its bloodthirst, the moment its eyes fell on him.

"The knight tier orc! Shit, it finally came here! We are trapped too, there is no other way out!" he lamented.

"We can only fight it if we don't want to die, but our chance of survival fighting it is not so great," he gritted his teeth as he pulled out his sword.

The skeleton and Imp were working together to stop the giant orc, their effort was somewhat successful because of the terrain, the cave was too small for the giant orc to move freely and its weapon was hard to wield in such a narrow space.

"Anne used this bow and tried to aim for its eyes," he told the girl as there was not enough space for the four of them to fight the orc, they would only hinder each other's movement if all of them tried to go on a melee with the orc.

"Alright. Do you have any plans?" she asked worriedly.

"On it, I will tell you when I have one," he said before going toward the orc.

When he joined the fight, the skeleton and imp already lost one of their limbs from fighting the giant creature.

On the other hand, the orc was as good as new, its longer weapon gave it superior range and the two creatures could only go on the defensive.

"Skelly, Imp! Fight near the cave wall, it will limit the orc's movement," he instructed.

Although it would limit their movement as well, their smaller size reduced the limitation to some extent compared to the orc.

It swung its ax, and it collided with the cave wall. Rather than stopping, it left a giant scar on the wall while continuing toward Char.

The collision reduced its speed and gave him enough time to activate his magic. There was no time to hold back so he activated all of his cards.

Mana covered his body as he activated the reconstruction magic and the quadruple physical boost both at once. He did not care about the strain as he could recover in a split second as long as he has mana.

He ducked down and dodged the ax, but he did not move back but move forward instead. He wanted to deal damage to the creature while his magic was still active.

He struck at the orc before it could react. Rather than going for the vital's he went after its fingers, he met some resistance, but in the end, he cut off four of its fingers.

The higher the creature's level, the more mana contained in its body, not only it allows the creature to activate more magic, but it also strengthened its body proportionally.

One of the reasons a higher-tier creature would always come on top of the lower-tier creature was this difference.

The orc could onku use one of its hand to grip and could barely move its ax. The giant ax was too big to be used with one hand.

The skeleton and imp got closer, trying to attack the orc while it was still trying to use its weapon to no avail.

The imp's attack bounced back without dealing any lasting damage, not even a scratch appeared on the orc.

The skeleton's sword could only give it a shallow wound, but it roared as the astral body's sword cut its vulnerable soul.

It gave up on using its ax and swatted the imp with its giant palm, mana covered it and the orc's attack speed increased considerably.

The imp could not dodge the attack, it got sent flying back dozens of meters before crashing to the ground, unable to stand back.

"It got killed in a single hit!" Char lamented in surprise.

Cold sweat started to cover his back as he could be the next one ending up dead, he resolved himself as he moved back to reassess their situation.

"Shit, its wound already healed," he cursed as the orc already stopped bleeding. The only good thing was it was unable to regrow its finger, its regeneration was geared toward flesh wounds and missing body parts could not be regrown.

Arrowheads were scattered on the ground as Anne was unable to pierce its thick skin with the arrow. She tried to aim for its eyes, but it was easier said than done.

"How to beat this monster? It can kill us with a single hit while our attack would not even make it sweat," he lamented.

"No, I can't give up, we need to keep trying, the skeleton's astral blade still effective against it, although this orc's soul is stronger, it's only a little better than normal orc, its evolution as an orc berserker did not improve its soul as much as its body."

"Skelly, you will do the offense, I will try to attract its attention," he instructed.

It looked at him before throwing some bones at him; the bones had a magic tattoo on them.

He did not even need to ask for them and the skeleton already gave it to him; it knew that he would need the increased speed if he wanted to last against the orc.

"Don't explode these bones, I need them for a longer period," he told the skeleton that nodded at him.

He did not have any more time to give instruction as he activated the bones, increasing his speed just enough to move out of the way from the orc's attempt to grab him.

"The mana consumption is trouble, this is a battle of endurance, whether its soul shattered first or I run out of mana first," he thought as he continuously consumed his mana to enhance his speed.
