I cringed because he just demonstrated me another shade of him.

It gave me goosebump as he laid on his mattress, directing to his large king-size bed that had space for four people.

I gritted my jaw and aimed to leave when he said, "I never said you can leave!" 

I halted while my hand was still on the door handle. He was not joking at all.

At that moment, I felt the pain that was lashing me from backward and frontward.

His hand wrapped over my belly, and his wings embraced my body.

"What..."

"Hush, I said, you can come to my bed." 

I was scared of him for a moment. He drew his wings back and took hold of my hand.

Aligners

Veronica was sitting on the sofa, her eyes in her cellphone, scrolling the news highlights up and down. Roby closed the door slowly, making sure that Ella wouldn't wake up.


Veronica was about to yell at me but Roby hushed her, pointing to the room.


"Where have you been? And I hope you prepared a proper explanation!" Veronica said, her tune was very low now.


"What do you mean? I was with some friends." I was panicked and didn't know what to say. I wasn't ready for it.


"Don't fool me, I saw your golden eyes, that shining string in your hand, your voice, and oh my god, Rose! She is dead." She burst into tears, sitting on the ground. It seemed I couldn't lie and either hide it.


I knelt and hugged her, saying, "I am sorry for her. I am sorry for everything but everything in my life had twisted. Please give me some space then I will let you know. Now just have a seat."


She drew me back from her embrace, glanced into my eyes.
