Life Changing Decisions

Jin Hui could have just as easily come here to rob the green robed Ma clan after they robbed Yun Tian. While the man appeared friendly and scared of him now after seeing the situation upon his arrival, who knew what lay within his heart. Especially before he witnessed the dead experts.

Yun Tian stared intensely at Jin Hui making him sweat as he wondered what was currently going through Yun Tian's head.

In the end, Yun Tian decided to trust his gut and said, "Alright. I already burnt their corpses, but you can put them out and take whatever's left if you want. If there's nothing else we will be leaving now."

After that he turned and was truly going to leave.

Jin Hui saw this and breathed in relief. He felt like earlier he was inches away from death's door and had just regained control of his life.

Still he didn't forget to say as he saluted, "I apologize for their actions and I hope you won't hold it against our town."

Even with that, Yun Tian only said, "Who knows?" and just left. Hold it against their town? Yun Tian didn't even plan on coming back.

Seeing their group leaving Jin Hui felt relieved, while at the same time he also felt that he had just lost a great opportunity.

'If I had befriended that powerful young man, maybe he could have helped me grow stronger.'

As he thought that, a wry smile grew on his face. He, a middle aged man who was experienced in the cultivation journey, wanted the help of someone so young.

Yun Tian and the wolves continued travelling for a few hours before coming to a stop. They all went to rest and cultivate, except for Yun Tian. Instead, he sat down and started to go through spatial bag after spatial bag. He had a lot of loot to look through. He checked all the spatial bags he had gotten and was a little deflated.

There truly were no high grade qi gathering pills in either of the two dead peak stage experts bags. He did get a very large amount of mid and low grade qi gathering pills when he put together everything he found in all the spatial bags. He could use these after the breakthrough, but they weren't helpful for now.

Besides that, he found a manual that appeared to contain a mid grade sword skill with some similar elements to his old skill Deadly Flash, but he put it away for now. He had already gone past the original limits of the Deadly Flash skill. After reading through this new skill, he decided to just practice it later to use as reference.

There were also some low grade skills and he figured he would spend some time comprehending each of the skills when he had time.

Besides that, he now had many low and mid spirit grade swords that weren't of much use, even for selling or trading. He also had the mid spirit grade dagger from one of the late stage experts. He was a little surprised when he saw it since virtually every good weapon he had found so far was a sword. It was just the most common weapon that most people used.

After looking through everything, he put it all back. Then, he prepared to start cultivating.

Though, he didn't start immediately. Instead, he took out all the items he could use to cultivate his dantian with and thought for a moment.

He now had twenty eight qi gathering pills. As for late stage dantians, he had four of them now.

'Would this be enough?' he wondered. He was pondering trying to break through with his dantian right now. The dantians contained a very large amount of energy that along with the pills might be able to last him the entirety of the breakthrough process. He was eager to breakthrough right now, but as he thought about just how much strength he gained with the breakthrough of his demonic core, he calmed down.

'I will wait until we leave the next town,' he decided in the end.

He knew there was only one more town before he reached Zhenmen town and by the increase in strength of experts he saw in the last town, he worried there might be some in Zhenmen town that he wouldn't be able to handle. His main worry was an expert above dantian building or just too many peak dantian building experts for him to handle. So, he decided to break through with his dantian before then.

Although, he did feel very assured as he started to cultivate with his demonic core once more. His demonic core was about seven tenths full and he had just switched to using peak stage demonic cores the day before they entered the last town as his cultivation speed had started to slow down even with the many late stage cores he was using.

With that it picked up again and his progress was steady. Still he found the requirements for his demonic core only became more immense after the last breakthrough.

He was barely able to keep up with the number of cores he required as peak stage demonic beasts were much rarer than late stage demonic beasts when he went out hunting. Still, with the wolves' abilities to find prey he managed to keep up.

Another factor was his speed of absorbing the demonic qi within them. Although he could still absorb them at a decent rate, it was nowhere near as fast as even the rate at which he absorbed late stage cores before his breakthrough. It was quite slow in his opinion, even though it only took him several hours for a core. This was the main reason why the number of cores he had could keep up.

Even with all that, he was happy as one of the reasons it took so long was the enormous amount of very pure and strong demonic qi within each core. As he absorbed this energy within the cores, his rate of absorbing the qi within the core slowed, but his strength instead grew even faster as the qi within his demonic core grew in amount and purity.

The more cores he absorbed the more excited he became, as he knew the more it took the stronger he would become in the end. And this wasn't just his thoughts as it was proven true with his body's strength greatly growing after each cultivation session.
