"Yes." He sighed at my response.
"Well, what I want is..." My phone went off, interrupting our conversation.
"Sorry.." I apologized, as I pick up my phone and put it on speaker mode on.
"Hey, Hannah." I greeted, weakly.
"Hii, Delilah!" She yelled.
"What's up?"
"Nothing." She then smiled expectantly, as if I was supposed to start the conversation she started.
"Do you need anything?"
"Carrie went missing, but I think she just left is all." Jack had a worried look on his face. Glancing at me before rushing upstairs, causing me to follow in pursuit.
"What are you doing?" I asked as I watched him pack up his stuff.
"I thought I had a week left, but I never thought it would happen today." I heard him mumble.
"I have to go, you stay here until your mom gets back." He commanded,
"Wait, let me come with you!" I begged.
"No, it's too dangerous." He heeded, pushing me aside.
"I thought if I asked you to do something, you would do it!" I sassed, thinking I outwitted him.
"If it puts you in danger then no, I don't. My job is to keep you safe, not bring you closer to death."
"Please, I won't get in your way! I promise." I continue to plead.
"Fine, let me just do something." He then took out, what appeared to a device of some sort.
"Just in case your mom comes back, I'm going to spray some of this before we leave. Now, are you ready? No matter what happens, I will protect you, just stay close. And don't talk too much okay? This isn't a walk in the park." I nodded and followed in his footsteps. As we were walking downstairs I just remembered I was on a phone call with Hannah.
Hannah kept screaming out my name until I finally picked up.
"Sorry Hannah, I have to go."
"Wait, Delilah!" I then hung up the phone, and told Jack,
"I'm ready, just one question."
"What is it?"
"What does that thing do?"
"It makes people forget certain things depending on the sent. Of course, I only need her to forget your existence, temporarily." After Jack sprayed the room, we left to my back yard. We took a few steps into the lush grass and a man appeared before us.
"We found a trace of where they went. They haven't gone far surprisingly. A demon hunter must have gotten her. We could still save her." The man said in a deep tone.
"What's a demon hunter?" I asked the man.
The man looked down at me, he was at least three feet taller, and it was a little intimidating.
"I thought I told you to leave her at home?" Although it was a question, it sounded more like an order. Before Jack could defend himself, I spoke up.
I could feel his anger through his emotionless face.
"Normally I'd fire you for doing something so foolish, but this is urgent, so I'll let you keep your job, just know what happens if she gets hurt or worse." Jack nodded violently, glaring at me after.
"Do you know where they are located?"
"This is the last time they were spotted," he pulls up a map on his watch and points to a location.
"Now, follow me." He added as he then opened a portal and signaled us to enter. We then followed him into the portal looking for the demon hunter that took Carrie.
Meanwhile, with Darleen. There were loud, knocks on the door, after Darleen answered it, Hannah came through the door.
"Oh hi Hannah, how did you get here?" said in pure shock.
"Just did." She replied sarcastically.
"Well, you could at least call first."
"I don't care." She brushed off any of her words as if she didn't hear her.
"You could try to care! Are you here just to annoy me?" Her frustration starting to show.
"Maybe." Hannah chuckled. Darleen sighed, not wanting to continue this conversation. Allen then waked up, saying,
"Hello, what's up beautiful?" He then noticed Hannah and said,
"Why hello lovely Hannah, what are you doing here? And where is that darling Carrie?"
"Don't. EVER. Call. ME. That. Again. And I don't know." Hannah snarled.
"She wasn't there when I woke up, so I thought she left. Also, When I called Delilah she had to leave."
"Did she leave with Jack?" Asked Allen.
"Well, when she came downstairs I heard two pairs of footsteps going down the stairs before she hung up, so I guess," Hannah replied calmly as if this was normal.
"I don't know what he's thinking, but as long Jack is there everything should be fine." Allen thinks out loud.
"Besides, I can't leave anyway. Even if I had the choice to, I wouldn't. If this is just all a dream, I never want to wake up just so I can have a moment longer to hang out with two gorgeous women." Hannah glares angrily, growling at his words, but he only smiled brightly.
"Are you hungry? I can cook you something." Darleen asked Hannah.
"Are you sure? I can help you."
"I know how to cook Hannah."
"Okay, just making sure. Most of the people I know, don't know how to cook." After that Hannah hopped on the couch and watched t.v.
"I thought you were energetic?" Allen questioned.
"Of course, your beauty doesn't matter on how much energy you have. It's just too unmeasurable for even words to describe."
"Shut up, also I save up my energy for when I need it."
"When is that?"
"When I deal with idiots like you." She snarled again, glaring right at him from the couch.
"That was quite harsh," Allen said, a bit taken back at her sharp language.
"That was the point. Do you ever leave me alone?"Hannah Impatiently commented not caring who's feeling she hurts.
"Didn't I leave you alone when you were at home?" He quickly replied
"Why don't you go bother Darleen." She insisted. Since he'd rather be near Darleen than her, he complied.
"Okay!" Hannah lets out a sigh of relief when Allen walks to the kitchen where Darleen was cooking.
"So is your friend Hannah always this rude?"
"Hannah can be quite mean to strangers. Don't worry too much about it. She's just not used to meeting new people, especially boys." Darleen chuckled.
"Noted..."
Shortly after there was another knock on the door. Then another. And another. Whoever was knocking was impatiently banging on the door. After Darleen carefully opened the door, concerned who was on the other side might be in trouble, it slams open. A man pointing a gun to Darleen's head, yelled
"Get to the ground!"
