The meeting ( part. two)

"We better get going before Elijah wakes up." warned Maria "You can stay at my house, I'm sure my friends don't care."

"I'm going with you but I'm not staying at your house. " said Marcel

"What? Why?" she questioned, visibly confused.

"I'm not afraid of the Originals so I won't be running away and hiding. If they want to come after me for protecting my friend, let them come. I didn't do anything wrong."

Maria watched Marcel disappear down the hall and turned her attention to Elijah. She stood beside the body and said:

"It was great to see you again, Elih." she smiled, rubbing the older man's face.

New Orleans, 1917

"I never thought Shakespeare was so talented." Maria commented, closing her book and facing the noble

"Wait until you read his other works, I'm sure you'll love it, Maria."

"Thanks for everything, Elijah." she smiled gratefully "Don't you have a nickname?"

"What?"

"Another name that someone calls you, besides Elijah."

"No, I was always just Elijah."

The youngest started to think and out of nowhere she squealed and stared at the original.

"I already know a nickname for you." she said excitedly "Elih."

"Elih?" smiled amused.

"Yes. Do you like it?"

The original nobleman nodded. It looks like he got a new nickname.

"From now on, you are Elih. But only I can call you that, okay?" asked bossy.

The vampire laughed and agreed.

"We will." Marcel, appeared again.

Elijah started to move and the two friends quickly left.

The Mikaelson family was in the mansion room waiting for Elijah, along with Cami.

"He's taking too long. What if something happened to him?" asked Hayley, concerned.

"Oh for god's sake, stop playing the worried wife, Hayley. Don't you have to worry about Jackson?" said Kol, taking a sip of whiskey.

"If she's alive ... why show up now?" questioned Freya, interrupting the discussion

"Do not know. Maybe she didn't want us to know that she is alive." concluded Rebekah.

"I do not understand why we are giving such importance to this woman." commented Davina

"And I don't understand why you continue to give your opinion if nobody asked for it." Klaus contradicted, while playing with Hope.

All of these discussions were interrupted by the original in a suit entering the mansion.

"What happened?" the original blonde was the first to speak

"Nothing. Before I could speak to Marcel, someone came up from behind and broke my neck." he explained, tightening her suit.

"It must have been her. It is a threat to our family." protested Hayley.

"No, it's not. She would never do that." argued the original blonde.

"Ok, you three ..." hayley pointed to Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah "You have to convince yourself that this woman may no longer be the same one you met and may pose a great danger to our safety and especially to that of Hope!" she exclaimed, already fed up.

"She seemed like a good person today. She told me a little about her and was even nice." Camille interjected, opening her mouth for the first time in several minutes.

Niklaus did not want to pay attention to the conversation so he focused on his daughter until the moment when he noticed a box lying on the table.

"What's that box?" he asked, drawing everyone's attention.

"They left it at the mansion door in the morning. Say it is for you."

The hybrid went to the box. As soon as he opened it he came across a heart and a note. Klaus took the piece of paper and read it aloud.

"I'm coming. I'll make you pay for everything you've done. Get ready, Mikaelson's."

"Is it a coincidence that she arrived in the city and suddenly we received a threat?" asked the witch Mikaelson, rhetorically.

"It must have been her." Hayley supported "Do you still think she wouldn't be able, Elijah?"

- Welcome to my humble home. You can come in. announced Maria, opening the door and giving the vampire permission to enter.

- Humble? Uai, you really get more eccentric over the years. she commented, laughing.

- You say that again and I'll break your neck just like I did with Elijah. - threatened the tribe, smiling then.

The two longtime friends went to the kitchen, where they met Regina and Sofia.

- Girls, I introduce you to our guest for dinner today. This is Marcel Gerard, I already told you about him. - turned to the brunette - Marcel, these are my friends, Regina and Sofia. They are human so see the respect there. she warned menacingly.

Everyone greeted each other and Marcel stared at Sofia, who was flushed and very shy.

- Marcel ... - Maria called softly

-Yes.- She replied in the same tone.

- Maybe it is better to clean the corner of your mouth, the drool is already starting to drain.

- Shut up.

Maria laughed and helped her friends with dinner.

The hours passed and when they finished eating, they all went to the living room.

- Are you going to do something tonight? asked Marcellus

- Sofia and I were thinking we could go for a walk to the French Quarter. You talked so much about the lively nights that you live there. - Said Regina, facing the witch.

Maria was a little reluctant to return to the French Quarter, especially now that her old family knew she was alive and in town.

"Maria from the last century would refuse to go and would flee to her room in fear. But I am not the same as I was a century ago."

- Yes, let's go. I'm sure you will love it. - agreed the wolf.

The human women celebrated and went straight to their rooms to get ready.

- You are sure? - questioned the "little warrior".

- Yes I have. -she looked at him-it was you who said you weren't going to run because you hadn't done anything wrong ... and I'm sure I didn't do anything wrong to them. I spent years and years waiting for this reunion but honestly it doesn't make any difference to me anymore. I am no longer the same little girl from 1 century ago who was always in the shadow of the Mikaelson's, while waiting to be protected by her "prince charming". -she crossed her arms and continued -I can't wait for them to see what I have become thanks to them. she smiled mischievously and went up the stairs.

In a very deserted and not well-known place in New Orleans, Lucien Castel was feeding on the blood of one of his victims.

"Were you with our girl?" asked Aurora.

"Yes." he wiped the corners of his mouth "She didn't give me much confidence but I wasn't expecting anything else from the trybrid. But I still think I managed to intrigue her and I think she was interested."

"I hope so, Lucien. We have to get to it before the Mikaelson's and bring it to our side. We need the trybrid if we want to continue with our plan." sat down in one of the cauldrons.

"I know. And we will achieve that."

"Do you trust her?"

"No ... but I trust her anger." stared at his ally and returned to the meal.

New Orleans really knew how to spend an evening.

There was no discouraged person on the city streets.

Everyone was enjoying the sound of Jazz that a local band played.

"This is so amazing!" exclaimed Sofia

"It's New Orleans, honey. You cannot expect anything else." replied Marcel, winking.

Maria looked around, remembering the various moments she spent on this street and smiled.

This was the city that saw it grow.

This was the city she helped to rebuild when everything was in ruins.

"I'll see if I can find something to drink. I will be right back. Don't leave Marcel's foot." she warned her before walking away.

The supernatural walked through the crowd, dodging people and apologizing until they ran into a brunette woman.

"Sorry ... do I know you?" said the woman

"No and I'm quite sure you don't want to know." answered

"It's you. I spent all day thinking about the best way to finish you off."

"So sweet." said the trybrid laughing.

The stranger took Maria's arm and at vampire speed they moved away from the crowd, staying on a deserted street.

"Who are you? Don't wait, don't answer, I want to guess ..." she pretended to think "I know! A person with no relevance in my life. Am I right?" she gave a cynical smile.

"Your worst nightmare."

The brunette woman tried to attack Maria, who easily deflected and sent her against a wall.

"With all the respect, I am sure you are not Albert Einstein."

The vampire tried to attack the wolf again but went to the ground with just a look of it. Still, she managed to get hold of something sharp that she found on the floor and sent it against the chest of the trybrid, thinking it would hurt her.

"Honestly, people have to stop thinking that they can beat me by hitting me with things in the chest." she commented, removing whatever it was from her skin.

She walked over to the crazy stranger and the sound of her loudness was all that was heard on that street.

"I have no idea who you are but you have to be very stupid to start a fight with me, thinking you can win me. Clearly, you've been studying the wrong enemy."

Maria took the brunette by the neck and put her hand on her chest, feeling the woman's inanimate heart.

"I really hope you have enjoyed the last times of your life. Oh and one last piece of advice: in the next life, think better before you make the decision to attack someone."

The moment the trybrid was preparing to rip out her heart, she heard a voice that she hadn't heard in a long time and that made her paralyze.

"Maria! Don't do that! Leave Hayley alone!"

It was static. She removed her hand from the hybrid's chest and brutally broke its neck.

She turned slowly to the owner of the voice and it was then that she came across 5 people, three of them well known to the woman.

Elijah, Klaus, Rebekah, Kol and Freya had gone looking for Hayley, leaving Hope with Davina and Cami.

They did not expect to find the hybrid almost to be killed by the woman who had confused their minds for days.

"None of us expected this." Kol said, breaking the silence of the street.

Maria looked at the Mikaelson brothers with a serious face.

Elijah tried to get closer, but the moment she took the first step, Maria disappeared at vampire speed.

"I can't believe it ..." said Rebekah, not knowing if she was smiling or not.

"Me neither ... You managed to win that hotie in 1919? I'm surprised."
