"Doc! Excuse me Doc!".

Lucas looked at the nurse calling him, he was so into reading that he didn't notice the nurse calling her.

" uhmm..I'm sorry is it time for her meds?". He asked.

The nurse nodded he slowly move aside from the bed and let the nurse do her job.

He calmly looked at the scene seeing her looking calmly at the window why the nurse is nursing her, he looked at the window too it's raining he can see it, the window fogging, the raindrops falling and the cold breeze starts lingering.

A small smile crept on his lips she must've loved rainy days too much that she's always responded to it.

"Excuse me Doc?". The nurse called after being done treating her.

Lucas looked at the nurse and nod saying she could go ahead but after doing so the nurse held back and looked at the book he's holding.

" I'm sorry Doc but I didn't think you'd be reading that book too you know I'm a fan of the author! Hehe". The nurse stated he held the book tightly and smiled at her, he must be looking too mature to read this kind of book that even the nurse was baffled.

"I am but there's always a first time at everything right ". He answered smiling the nurse smiled back at him and then proceed to do her work.

After being left alone he turned back at his position before sitting next to her bed quietly staring at his life, at her.

" when are coming back?.. I already have an answer to your question.". He whispered while wiping the tears that are continuously falling from his eyes as he starts talking to her.

"I miss you..please come back". He murmured tightly holding her hands holding onto that warmth her hands is giving.

"Hello". He answered the call.

" Doc! You are being called for the Operation it will starts at 10 a.m.". He heard his secretary stating.

"I'm coming to give me a minute". He answered before ending the call, he looked at her again and smiled while wiping some trail of tears on his cheeks he kissed her hands and whispered.

" See you tonight Watashi no saiai no hito ".

He kissed her forehead and called her private nurse back in before leaving the operation room is the 2nd floor along with the wards and is currently on his way from the 4th floor to the private rooms down on the second heading to the operation room.

This hospital his working on was owned by his family not only this but other enterprises that were managed by his younger brother together with her father.

As he walks through the hallway he can feel his breathe wearing his serious looks void with emotions he was full of a long time ago.

" Good afternoon Doc". His secretary greeted as he passes through him he nodded as an answer before walking straight to prepare for the operation.

"Wazzup Moreno oh I mean Mr.Grumpy".

Lucas turned to face the nuisance talking to him he looked at him monotonously and glared what kind of doctor is the idiot talking unprofessionally at work, the latter after seeing his expression laugh awkwardly lifting his hands signaling a peace sign.

Lucas just sighed what could he do about this human they've been friends for decades and they're even cousins how could he shove this prick away good thing this prick has been with him through thick and thin cause if he isn't someone he cherishes he might throw him out immediately away from his sight.

" I'm sorry okay I was just lighting the moods up you don't want to operate there looking so down like that right". His cousin Aaron retorted looking at him with concern.

"I'm fine don't worry". He assured.

Aaron sighed after hearing his reply." Idiot you've been telling me that for years now still, you have that look on your freaking face".

"How is she?". His cousin asked making him glare at him.

" Woah still jealous of me it's been years jerk I've already moved on and given up I was concerned cause I've been also one of her friends much closer to that ya know". His cousin explained.

Lucas sighed yeah he knows it's been years but he can't take away that feeling even though he cherishes his cousin he is still jealous of him knowing his been with her for a long time and share a lot of time unlike him but it's not jealousy of her loving his cousin before he has done that too but what his jealous of is the time that this two had.

He still has regrets and many shortcomings to her. Too many what if in mind making it hurt down deep in his heart.

He looked at his cousin and smiled looking at the man who's been with his beloved helping her reach this far. it would be unfair if he still had these feelings of jealousy towards this man that he should be thankful for.

" she's improving lately she's been responding to some events like during a rainy day". He responded wholeheartedly.

"Good I might go some other day for a visit". His cousin replied.

" Let's just finish this operation smoothly so you could meet her back". His cousin smiled looking at him before heading to the O.R. he too headed next to him.

"Have you finish reading her book? Heard it was good and our names were in it our story oh probably her story".his cousin said after he had been walking with him already.

Lucas just smiled and answered.

" I did not but I'm gonna read it to her again later, we're gonna finish reading it together".
