Task done

It has already been a month and a half, and Tianlong has been keeping up a great schedule. In the morning he cultivates his energy, in the afternoon he trains his body, and at night he goes out hunting, and after he finishes he starts reflecting on how his hunts went and how can he improve himself.

Everything was going well, too well in fact. Tianlong has already hunted all the kinds of beasts in the first level of the forest and he has learned a lot. The armored rhino's skin makes a great armor and shield especially against the hawks with their bullet like feathers. And consecutively the hawks Feathers make for great throwing knives, so he made sure that whenever he hunted one he would keep all the steel feathers for himself, and he would use them whenever he can.

Tianlong also learned that eyes are a weakness for all the creatures that depend on them. A surprise attack with a steel feather to the idea throws the beasts off and creates a huge blind spot for attacking.

In general, this is a great experience for Tianlong, as he already broke through to the 1st stage of the foundation establishment realm with his great efforts and constant training.

After breaking through, Tianlong's strength has advanced by leaps and bounds and with his constant hunting and fighting his senses are honed to a new level. He can perceive the slight movement or presence of a beast from a kilometer away.

'So this is how father feels, it certainly is impressive. However there is still a long way to go I want to achieve more than just this'

And with that Tianlong went back to training.

13 days have already passed and now only 2 days are left until the end of the 2 months period.

Tianlong could be seen sitting outside of his cave in a sitting position.

'The 2 months period is nearly over and I've already broke through to the 2nd stage of foundation establishment, I only have one task left and that is to hunt a wild beast from the 2nd level of the forest. The monsters there range from the 5th stage of Qi gathering to the 5th stage of foundation establishment. I don't have much time nor do I have information about the beasts that dwell there so I should advance with caution'

After he finished his thinking, Tianlong got up, checked himself and everything that he wanted to bring with him, after that he started legging it straight to the second level.

After a couple of minutes he felt his body pass some kind of invisible Qi barrier. It was very subtle that he nearly missed it but with his super enhanced senses he still managed to find it.

'So nature isn't as ruthless as I always thought, this barrier manages to keep the first level beasts from getting in the second level and getting themselves slaughtered, but this barrier can't stop the stronger beasts from the second level to pass through to the first level, however the stronger the beasts are the more they desire stronger opponents to devour which means they wouldn't gain anything by slaughtering the weak beasts of the first level that's why they don't bother going there. This is really interesting but I don't have the time to study their behavior, now back to the task'.

Tianlong switched from travelling on the ground to jumping on tree branches while keeping noises to the minimum until he finally settled on a big tree and sat there while heightening his senses to the maximum.

He was in an unknown territory; he didn't have information about anything here so he needed to be on alert at all times.

Night has descended and Tianlong was still in his position without even moving once. He sensed a lot of beasts the whole day and some of them even passed by the tree he was on, but he still didn't make a move. He was just sitting there and gathering as much information as he could.

'I sensed 4 kinds of beasts and saw 2. The 2 that I saw were majorly different. The first was a Snake with four eyes, the beast had a cultivation level of 9th stage of Qi gathering, and the 2nd one was an ape, as simple as that, I can even link it to the silver back gorillas that lived on earth. The apes' cultivation was of the 1st stage of Foundation establishment. For now that is my target'

As it was already dark and he couldn't sense any movement anymore he decided that there won't be any other chance than this.

He descended from the tree and started following the tracks of the ape.

Using his energy on his eyes while cultivating made them develop into something interesting, he could now use his ice blue eyes to see in dark just as well as seeing in the day, he could also perceive Qi strings of every unique creature which made it easier to track the ape.

You're going to ask me how can Qi be unique to single entity. I'll tell you that natural Qi that is everywhere does indeed have a single nature however when someone or something decide to start cultivating and absorbing Qi their meridians purify that Qi and makes it theirs, that gives the purified Qi a unique signature. So as a conclusion every being that can cultivate has a unique Qi signature just like finger prints for humans. And with Tianlongs enhanced eyes he can see that Qi signature as a form of string; he can even map a creatures' body and see all their Qi channels with his eyes.

Back to Tianlong, he reached near a tree in the dark where he saw the ape, it was simply laying there and sleeping.

Tianlong tried to take a step and get near the ape; he stepped on a dread leaf.

*crunch*

With his heightened senses the ape woke up very quickly. In a second it was already on its feet looking around for any danger. As for Tianlong, he quickly jumped to the tree and quickly positioned himself before the ape could see him. He brought out the steel feathers in one hand and the now quite dull knife in the other hand and waited for the ape to turn his way.

The ape was angry because it was one of the strongest creatures here so there aren't that many creatures that could endanger it so who dares disturb it's sleep

And just as it turned around, two steel feathers came hurling towards its eyes. And they hit their marks.

Tianlong took the opportunity where the beast is in a panic state and attacked with his knife in a slashing arc towards the apes' neck, which resulted in the head of the ape going bye bye.

Everything seemed to happen in second, and that's just a statement to how far Tianlong had come in his training.

Tianlong turned around to see the body of the ape still twitching on the floor.

'It's finally done…time to go back home… I'll surely miss the life here' Tianlong said while holding the apes' body by the leg and dragging it out with him. He finally finished his task and it was time for him to go back home.
