Alice woke up and checked her phone it was currently 5 am. Alice remembered her Grandmother said Maximus would pick her up at 6. She got up and walked to her closet to pick out her outfit for the day. She chose a black shirt and black pants. She headed for the bathroom to take a shower and get ready. Maximus was walking out of his bathroom after a shower. He was getting ready and walked over to his closet. He pulled out a red shirt and a pair of shoes. He grabs a black jacket and a pair of pants. He gets dressed and heads downstairs. As he walks toward the door he notices his bother sitting in the living room watching tv. As he reached for keys he hears his brother.

"Maximus remember that tonight is the Winter Festival. Please be cautious we don't know if the witches are planning something tonight." Said, Max

"Thanks, Max, I will be cautious. You should do the same brother. Try to avoid feeding at all tonight. It will be a mess if we go feeding tonight." Responded Maximus

"I will. Thanks for the warning. I will see you later." Said Max as he turned back around and watched tv. Maximus grabs his keys and heads outside. He decided today to take his Black 1960 Pontiac GTO. He walks over to the car and gets in. He cranks up the car and begins to pull around to leave. As he drives down the driveway he realizes it's already almost 6. He speeds up and drifts out onto the road racing down it. As he drives down the road. He realizes he left his headphones at the house. He decides he will just go without them today. He reaches Alices road and pulls down it. It wasn't hard to forget where she lived. As he had been there before. As he makes it to the house he notices the sun is starting to come up. He walks up to the door to knocks. Elizabeth opens the door to Maximus Shock.

"Well for an old lady you sure do wake up early huh." Said Maximus

"Maximus a pleasure seeing you. You've come to get Alice right. She should be down shortly." Said Elizabeth

"I'm already down her Granny. I was just getting my brush." Said Alice as she came running from the living room.

Maximus laughed at the two. "Take your time I'll be out here," Maximus said as he walked back to his car. He reached inside and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He took one and lit it. He sat down and waited for Alice to finish getting ready. She walked outside after a minute and saw Maximus smoking. She walked over to him and took the cigarette out his mouth and threw it on the ground. She stomped on it.

"I already told you! Cigarettes will kill you. Do you have a death wish?" Yelled Alice

"I've had a death wish for years. Plus if cigarettes were going to kill me they would've years ago." Said Maximus as he got up. He smiled at Alice and walked to the passenger side of the car and opened the door.

"Let's go I'm hungry and we only have a couple of hours before school." Said Maximus. Alice walked over and got in. Maximus walked around and got in. He started up the car and the two left. As they rode today the car wasn't quiet it was filled with conversation. Alice asking Maximus about school and things to do.

"Well you know tonight is a big festival for the town. It marks the celebration of the end of the Salem Witch trails. It also marks witches that escaped Salem during that time finally settled down here and was able to live and prosper. Every year at the beginning of November they hold big festivals here in order to give thanks and bless their family lineage in hopes of avoiding another Salem ordeal." Said Maximus

"You believe in witches. Don't the idea of them scare you?" Questioned Alice

"No, why would I? Magic is all around us. It has been since the beginning of time. The idea of being afraid of simply a little magic is childish." Said Maximus.

Alice seemed a little relieved. She had worried about Maximus fearing her. She felt like she could confide her secrets in him.

"Are you truly not scared of witches?"

"As I said no I'm not. It would take plenty of witches to scare me." Said Maximus

"What do you mean?" Said, Alice

Maximus pulls off into a drive-through and began ordering food. Ignoring Alice's question for the time being. He pulled up and paid the person working and got the food. He then began to drive away. He handed Alice the food and told her to eat. He continued to drive till they come to a little area in the forest. The two got out walked to a table that was there.

"Now let me answer your question. You had asked what I mean. My full name is Maximus L. Silverton. First off let me ask you this what all do you know about witches."

"I know about them. As a matter, in fact, I am one. The reason I left my last school is that my magic isn't fully controllable and sometimes goes wild. I was betrayed by a friend that led to me having a breakdown. All I know is that my magic caused the entire school to crumple. For some reason, I can't remember it all clearly. I remember crying then I woke up in a car on my way down here to live with my grandmother."

"Other than witches, what else do you know about the world?"

"Not much I know magic but I was forbidden to actually partake in major practices. My grandmother would never let me."

"I figure. Well, let me tell you this. Other than witches the world is filled with monsters and other supernatural creatures. Most either live in hiding or stay in The Monster Kingdom or selected realms. There are plenty out there. Now to the main point, in the beginning, the gods made the Heavens. They broke up into select regions. That's were most mythologies come from like Norse and Greek mythologies. In retrospect, there is only one original god which is portrayed in Christian lore. He gave birth to all the other ones. One god who isn't really mentioned is named Eve. She became spiteful at the Gods for favoring the humans. So she gave birth to eight monsters. She gave birth to them in sets of twins. The first two were a werewolf and vampire. The second two were a fire and water spirit. The next was an Orc and Satyr. The final two was basically human but they were actually witches. The first two siblings gave the sisters their monster form in order to protect them. So the first two monsters the werewolf and vampire. Is Me and Max." Said Maximus

"Wait a minute. That isn't possible that would make you a very old man and to me, you don't look so old."

"Funny, yeah I'm pretty old. You can even ask your grandmother. I went to school with her when she was younger. It's why she's so familiar with me. I didn't think I would meet another of your lineage."

"Well, that explains your ability to throw your brother through a solid door." Said, Alice

"Yeah well, now you know. Let's eat we ain't got much time before school." Said Maximus. The two sat and ate. They left and headed to school. The ride was quiet again. Alice was thinking about a lot. She can't believe Maximus was a monster. She couldn't believe anything. All that she was told was fake was real. It was a brain blower. As she watches the trees she couldn't believe how beautiful this tiny town is. Maximus pulled into the lot and parked. He held in front of Alice the keys to the car.

"Hey take this home with you tonight. I want you to have a vehicle." He said

"What the fuck. You know how expensive a car like this is you can't just give it away."

"Yeah, I can. I have plenty of cars and I need room to get another car to work on. So please take this car or else I'll just park it somewhere and never drive it again. " Maximus said as he dangled the keys.

"Jeez you know we've only known each other for like 2 days, right."

"Yes, and I need you to have a car. You're the only person I like here. So if you have a car you can come to me anytime." Maximus said as he handed Alice the keys. He got out and headed into school. Alice got out of the car and couldn't believe what just happened. Not only did she just learn Maximus is a monster. An ancient monster at that. He gave her a car and couldn't believe he was so casual about it. As she walked into the school she saw Max sitting up on the lockers.

"Hey Max," she said

"Hello, your names Alice right. You're the new girl right. How are you?"

"I'm good how are you doing?" She asked

"I'm fine it's a lovely day outside isn't. I should go hiking."

"How can you walk in the sun? Maximus said you're a vampire. Why don't you burn like a vampire?" She asked

"Maximus told you about us. He must be very fond of you little witch."

"You know I'm a witch. How?"

"We've known since you arrived in town there was a new witch. We could smell you as soon as you came into town."

"That's why he wasn't shocked when I told him," she claimed

"My brother is fond of witches. He's been helping them since our siblings started spreading magic majorly. Back to the sun question. The reason I can walk in the sun is that I haven't spent my life hunting and being only night active. I since my birth have walked in the day and night. All a vampire will have to do to become able to wall in sunlight is spend time in it. Some people who aren't bit and don't even know it spends time in the sun. They don't even know they've been changed till they discover it through an accident or something." Said Max as he walked down the hall with Alice

"So you're telling me if I became a vampire and literally just spent time in the sun within the first couple days of changing. I would be able to walk in the sunlight." She asked

"Indeed most of my children were able to walk in daylight. Why wouldn't you, Alice?"

"Children! you have children"

"Shhhh, not so loud. Yeah, there either dead or just don't talk to dear old me anymore. Anyway, I have to go I guess I'll be seeing you around." Max said as he walked inside the classroom. In the back of the room was Maximus starting out the window. Alice walked over to her desk and sat down.

"So Maxi, you seem super bored what's wrong?" Asked Alice

"Where the hell did you hear that name?" He asked

"My grandmother. She said you love that name. Is that true?" Asked Alice

"I don't hate it. It's just I haven't heard that name in a very long time. It was just a shock to hear it." Said Maximus

"Oh well, you'll be hearing it a lot now so get used to it." Said Alice as she pulled out her notebook and prepared for class. Maximus sat in silence staring out the window. He was watching a bird create a nest. As he watches the bird he noticed a reflection in the window. It was from Alice. He couldn't believe how pure she looked. He decided to ask her to the festival today. Maximus gets up and leaves. He heads toward an abandoned room on the third floor. When he reached the room door he opens up the door and walked inside he walks to a chair near the window. He sits in the chair and leans back. As he watches outside the window he realizes how breathtaking the view was. Max walks in and sits on the window seal.

"You do realize she's one of her lineages. She's almost an exact replica of her. It will be dangerous to progress." Max said in a warning tone

"She does look exactly like her. It's almost breathtaking. Levete would be proud. Did you see her power flowing from her body? Elizabeth couldn't keep it hidden forever. I haven't felt this power in over millennia. Do you think she will be as fun as her?" questioned Maximus

"I don't know brother. Be careful though her power seems like she will be the most powerful Black Witch ever born. So let's see how this plays out. We may even see some action. It will be glorious well be able to get our hands dirty." The two brothers peer out the window waiting to see what happens.

Alice was sitting in class wondering where Maximus had gone. She decided to pay attention to the lesson when a huge crashing came from outside. Everyone went to the window to see what happened. Maximus was coming out of a small crater. Everybody had wondered what happened.

Maximus was standing in the courtyard watching the room. Max suddenly came hoping down.

"What the fuck. I thought we had a truce with the Hunters in this area." Said, Max

"I don't know but they have some new powerful weapons. That scream was horrible." Said Maximus

"I don't know but we have eyes one us all around. What should we do?" Asked Max

"We don't have a choice. I don't know any magic to erase that many people memories. Do you?" Asked Maximus

"No none that I recall at the moment. Summon Phoenix he can fix this." Yelled Max

"No, we can't bring Phoenix in plus I don't even know where he is." Said Maximus

"He's a bloody fucking fire spirit Maximus. I'll do it then. He can yell at me." Max said as he hit the grounded causing a black fire to come flying up. Suddenly Phoenix walked through.

"What the hell do you fuckers want. I'm busy if my test subject escapes I'm taking an organ from you two." Said Phoenix

"Ah, brother welcome we need a favor. Do you know any mass memory removers? We need one desperately." Said, Max

"Yes, and you would too if you would look at the papers I sent you guys. Damn my subject better not escape." Phoenix said has fire began to swarm him. In the sky, a bunch of symbols appears and start flashing. Suddenly a huge flashed happened. Everything had gone back to normal. None of the students realized what had happened. Phoenix also put up a Black Box in order to protect surrounding areas. He then disappeared to hurry back to his project. Maximus and Max look at the Hunters who are still watching them. Maximus and Max warned the people to back off or kindness won't be shown. The Hunters pulled out guns and began shooting at the brothers. They were heading off when Maximus saw Alice standing at the end of the Court right under the Hunters.

"Max we have a new mission. Your orders are to kill. Don't let them get to Alice. They'll use her as a weapon understand Maxius." Asked Maximus

"Yeah, I understand. Let's go, brother. I'm down to hurt some people." Max said as he took off. Maximus followed he headed straight for Alice while Max went up. Inside the room gunfire and screams could be heard. Maximus grabbed Alice and covered her ears. To avoid her hearing the result of Max's hunger. Maximus looked her in the eyes and put her to sleep. He picked her up and jumped up into the room. He saw Max eating one of the last Members.

"Your making to big of a mess. Did you leave any alive?" Asked Maximus

"Yeah, he's in the corner. You can have him. He smells like he has Silver Bane flowing through him. So he might not taste good though." Max said as he went back to eating

Maximus set Alice down on a desk and walked over to the guard.

"So Human explain to me what made you decide to attack us. We had a treaty with your people?" Asked Maximus

"Like I would tell you Monster." Said the hunter as he spits in Maximus face. Maximus doesn't take a liking to this and puts his hand on the hunter's chest. He slowly begins sinking his hand into him. The hunter began screaming and pleading.

"Ok ok. Please stop. We were sent to take care of another monster. There was extreme magic reading over here. The scan came from directly under the room you two were in. We only had one chance we didn't expect you two to notice."

"A new monster here. That's foolish no monster would move here without first applying for permission. We haven't heard of any new monsters." Said Maximus realizing that they were talking about Alice. Maximus decided to avoid her being found decided to kill the Hunter. He proceeded to push his hand into the Hunters chest. He grabs his heart and rips it out and crushing it. He walks to Alice and picks her up. He tells Max to close the Box and fix the window and hopes out. He walks to the car and puts Alice inside. He decided to take her home for now and figure out a plan.
