The friend turned out to be enemy

*Click! Click!*

The door to the apartment opened with a click as someone inserted the key inside the lock and unlocked it. He stepped inside the living room and something fell on his feet as the room was dark lit and he couldn't make out what it was so he ignored it and walked forth. He should be surprised that the lights didn't switch on automatically like they usually did whenever he stepped inside the apartment, but things didn't surprise him these days.

He walked ahead and with every step he took forward, the heart in his chest hammered, paralyzing his body with fear. Fear of something very known. Something he shouldn't have done but it was too late to undo it. Moreover, he was not given the option to do things otherwise.

He opened the door to his bedroom and found the room pit dark with the exceptional on and off of the lamp. He could sense that someone was sitting on his chair near his desk and was fiddling with the lamp button.

*ON!*
