Ch. 139 The Fourth Song

Kaylee explained her strategy to her friends about what song they would sing tonight.

"Do you remember our fourth song, which you said was too heavy, but we kept practicing it secretly?"

"Yeah?"

"We'll play that song tonight."

"But, it's too risky." Fritz scratched his neck awkwardly because he wasn't confident he could play the flowing rhythm on his bass. He knew his finger couldn't make it for the most complex bass-fingering rhythm.

"You can do it, Fritz. I know you can." Kaylee said confidently because she had heard her friend had been training from the time he woke up until noon, and Fritz was making progress.

"Why don't we choose one of the songs we've already played? After all, tonight we only need to play one song, right?" suggested Letti, who didn't understand why Nick insisted on playing a different song.
