Flashback to March 12

I walk into his room to see him sitting on the floor. His back was against the wall with his head buried in his hands. I was confused, I've never seen him look this defeated. He looked so tired and sad. Not even sad, he looked empty.

He doesn't see me, he doesn't know I'm here.

I should go... I can always come back another time. This seems very personal.

I was about to leave until I heard a small voice call out my name.

"Av?"

I froze.

I contemplated if I should face him or not. On one hand, I wanted to be there for him but on the other hand, I know he likes his personal space.

I decided to turn around, now staring at a sad Elvino. His eyes were puffy and red, you could tell he had been crying. I made my way towards him, taking a seat right next to him. I gave him a small smile before placing his head on my lap.

I wonder what has him this low, I've never really seen him like this. It makes me sad to see him so down.

I hear him sniffle, as I ran my fingers through his hair. Not knowing what to say, I lean forward and kiss his forehead. I feel him stiffen a bit, not knowing how to react.

"Wanna talk about it?" I ask, referring to why he looked so upset. He stares at me for a few seconds before shaking his head no. I nod, understanding that he'll talk to me when he's ready. I continued to run my fingers through his hair in silence.

All of a sudden, I felt his body slowly sit up. He stared at me for a few before hugging me, completely breaking down in my arms. I stood there in shock before wrapping my arms around his hips. He sank into my arms and held me tight.

I felt my shirt get soaked with his tears but I didn't care. I never really had someone there for me when I was sad. Sometimes I wished someone was there for me, I wished that someone held me as I broke down. So, I let him release all his tears on me, hoping that would make him feel better.

He eventually stops crying and just stays in my arms, enjoying my warm embrace. He nuzzles his head around my face and I smiled, giving him a small push. He gives me a small smirk before laying his head on my shoulder.

"It's okay to be sad, y'know." I say keeping my arms wrapped around him, giving him a small smile. He rolls his eyes and smiles, nodding his head in agreement.

"Are you going to tell me what happened?" I asked, hoping he'll tell me what's bothering him.

He shakes his head and smiles, "Y'know I'm glad we met."

I shake my head at the sudden change in the conversation. I wish he would just tell me what had him so upset but I didn't want to push him. I understand boundaries.

Anytime I'm upset he never pushes me to speak about it, so it would let be fair if I made him speak about it.

I roll my eyes and smile, "Me too."

End of flashback.

Present-day

It's been three days since the event. After, the conversation I had with Elvinio I got in the limo and went home.

The whole ride all I could think about is his face after I told him will never see each other again. To be fair, at least I didn't lie to him and say that we will see each other again.

I still sometimes miss him, more than I care to admit. I wished things could be different but we both know it can't. Especially after what happened.

I felt my phone ring in my pocket. I check to see who it was, it was Hailey phoning me. I smiled at my phone before answering it.

"Hey, what's up?" she chirped, making me smile.

Hailey and I have been texting ever since the event. She's really kind and funny. She's become one of my very few friends.

"Nothing much, how about you?"

"Same, wanna hang out later?" She asked, making me light up. I've never had friends before so the thought of now having one makes me happy.

"Yea, sure!" I replied, "I'll text you my address."

I hang up the phone and text her my address. We both agreed on her coming over around six, so I decided to take a quick nap before she arrives.

Three very loud bangs and the shout of my name is what woke me up from my sleep, I groaned and rubbed my eyes. I rolled out of bed, running my finger through my dark brunette hair.

I grabbed my phone, checking what time is it. It was only five, Hailey shouldn't be arriving until at least an hour. Maybe she's early?

I slowly made my way to my door, hearing three more loud bangs.

"For fucks sake, I'm fucking coming," I shout as I open the door, shocked to see who was standing in front of me. My blood ran ice cold, I was shocked, to say the least.

"Hey.." The voice of someone I wanted to forget said, sending me into a panic.

What in the actual fuck.
