8. Blacktooth

"So which side are guys from?" i asked again.

"We are from blacktooth" The older thug answered.

"Blacktooth? Never heard of them. Is it newly made?"

"I dont know about it but it is only a small gang."

"Hmm i see."

"Is your boss nearby?" i asked.

"Why are you asking about it?" the thug said suspicious if me.

"Nothing. I just want to meet your boss. Take me to him if he is nearby." i said to them.

"Are you sure?"

"Heck yeah"

"Fine, follow me then."

"Okay" I followed both of them.

They take me to a place thats not far from the shopping district. The area around me looks like some kind of old rundown factory. I never though there were this kind of place beside the shopping district. Looking at the style of the building, it is possible that this was the old shopping district. Although i said old, there were a few shop that still running its business here.

After taking turn from the main road, we arrived at some sort of bar house.

Maybe this place was their base.

"Is this the place?" i asked them.

"Yeah, wait here with Jet while i ask boss if he have the time" As he stepped inside.

Jet was the younger thug, while the older one i talked before was Dann. On the way here, we some sort of introducing ro each other.

Apparently, Blacktooth was consisted of orphaned children, abandoned kids, and kids that stopped schooling earlier because of various reason. Their number also only around twenty people.

"Boss!!"

"How many times i told to you stop calling me boss. Use elder brother instead you dumbass!" he shouted while still wiping the glass clean.

"I'm used to it. hehe. Anyway i need to talk to you boss." he said as he sit down on the chair in front of bartable.

"Yeah, what is- what happened with your face face Dann!?" he shocked.

"Its nothing, anyway there is someone who want to meet you outside." he told him.

"Someone? Who is he?" he asked.

"Umm, i dont know how to explain it. I think its better that you meet him" he said a little unsure.

"Hmm. Okay let's go outside."

After waiting for about 5 minutes, someone step out from the bar with Dann walked behind him.

"Are you the one who want to meet me?" he asked to me.

"Are you their boss?" i asked him.

For a moment he look at Jet and Dann, he realized that something must had happened to them. After that he looked at me with serious face.

"Yes, what do you want?" he said.

"I just want to meet the boss of Blacktooth"

His face got dark after hearing what i said.

"It is me. You can call me Marcus. Who are you and speak your purpose" Marcus said.

"Just call me Ron. These two tried take my money. So i give them a lesson. And there is something i need from you."

"Take your money?" he frowned.

Dann and Jet felt that their boss's mood got dark so they tried to slip away. But before they take a step away, they hear Marcus yelled at them.

"Get over here you dumbass! Both of you!" Marcus yelled furiously.

They then stood in front of Marcus. It seem that they are respect their boss -or maybe fear him- because they come to him obediently after he yelled.

"I've said to both of you already to stop taking money from people anymore. If you're in need of money, just come talk to me. I will look for job for you to do" he scold them hard.

"Now step forward when i call your name." Marcus said to them.

"Dann!"

"Yes!" Dan shouted.

Duakk! And he got a punch for Marcus.

"Jet!"

"Yes!" Jet shouted too.

Duakk! Another punch coming.

"Both of you better remember. The next time this kind of thing happen again, i'm going to beat you harder, you understand!?" Marcus warned them.

"Yes elder brother. This wont happen again. We're sorry" both answered.

"Fine, now go rest inside" Marcus said helplessly.

I was wondering what Marcus going to do when he called for them. Maybe this was his way of disciplining them. And elder brother? What a sentimental way to call their boss.

"I'm sorry for what they've tried to do to you" Marcus apologized to me.

"Nah, its okay."

"Now, tell me what do you need from me Ron?" He get back to his serious face again.

"Simple things. I want your group to be my eyes and ears" i said.

"Explain more"

"Easy. Just try to gather any information you can find. It might be useful later in the future when i need it" i explained to him.

"You mean gathering inteligence? What for? And who do you work for?" he ask as he try to dig for more information.

"Yeah, it would be better if you can find the power distribution around the city, and i dont work for anyone. I'm on my own" i answered.

He think about my demand for a bit and asked me the crucial question.

"What do we get from this?" Marcus asked.

Of course you must not forget about benefits in any kind of exchanges, businesses, partnership, and so on.

"Depending on what kind of information i need, i will pay you money accordingly. I also have much better offer, but i will save it for later." i said smirking.

"Hmm, good enough. But i have one more question"

"Sure. Just ask away"

"Why are you not doing this yourself?" he asked.

"Isn't obvious? I dont have my own people. I've said before that i'm on my own. Also you can treat me as i'm investing in you" i said

"Investing?"

"Listen i have a plan that might be good for you after hearing your groups situation from those two" Ron said.

"What is it?" he asked curiously

"I can tell you but under one condition" i demanded.

"What condition?" Marcus asked.

"You and your group, come under me" i said seriously.
