CHAPTER- 24

"Japeth is way ahead of us" Nicole admitted. "Mayden is beside him and god knows if he has a whole army prepared as well" Cole added. "Leo are you sure Mayden doesn't know that we are aware she is working for Japeth?" Ara asked. "I am pretty sure she kept on talking as if no one was watching her. I think she didn't know I was there all long" Leo assured. Levi and Ara exchanged glances as if they had a plan in mind already but wasn't sure if it would work. "If Mayden and Japeth doesn't know about this how about we take advantage of this?" Levi started as Ara nodded. "I am listening" the General said. "As a theory I am assuming there was something very important in that document and definitely it came here by accident, Japeth freaked out and told Mayden to get rid of it, possibly because there is no chance he could get his hands on it. This means neither him nor us know what was in that document" Levi took a pause and sighed, Ara continued "What I and Levi think is that this was their way in letting us fall in their trap, but, we could encounter it. As aware we can only encounter it if we know what their plan is for starters and most importantly who sent that package to Japeth that was so important he had to burn it before he could take a look at it" Ara explained, "Despite knowing this we are now Japeth's target and I don't think he is going to stay calm, I feel like he is going to strike soon.

Rae's pov

We walked out of the meeting room exhausted brain empty from all that thinking and encountering moves. In spite from all the sweat and exhaust we held our pride high after bringing the first plan in the mission. For the first time we weren't waiting for Japeth's strike but we had our own strike but just needed the right time. Soon we were going to venture deep into the trails and tribulation Japeth is going to throw us and surprisingly it didn't bring worry or stress but courage and hope. For the first time we were ready for his hit. We had a plan, a plan that was brought from the minds of 9 people, I am pretty sure it wont fail. I hope.....

We left the headquarters with our heads up in pride. People stared at us probably thinking if we had a stick stuck on our throat's leaving us with no choice but to keep our heads up, but, we didn't care. That's when I got a call, I picked it without any hesitation because it was my mom. Even though we rarely met we shared a strong bond, but it was the complete opposite with my dad. Since I had memory, I never caught my dad happy with me. This created a distance between us. Like awkward silence, fake laughs and even more silence. No one knew about my backgrounds except for Cole. Knowing since childhood definitely had its consequences. Even though we were a tease we always got each other's backs. Making us a pretty awesome team, except for the part we argue. No matter how convincing I am, HE JUST WONT LISTEN! WHAT DO YOU EXCEPT ME TO DO? "Guys, my mom just called and it seemed urgent so I am going to meet her. How about you guys go ahead and I will catch you later?" I asked. Everyone nodded their heads. All of us had our own struggles in the past which is basically the reason we met each other. No one talked about their pasts as it will only let them broken hearted. This just made us stronger in helping each other and made our bonds unbreakable. Cole gave me a 'are you sure?' look. I nodded assuring him but that didn't seem to convince him. He came up to me, "Do you think you are ready yet?" he asked worry filling his voice. "Its fine don't worry about it. I think.... I can handle it" I said but I still knew Cole wouldn't buy it because he could read my mind as if I was a transparent sheet. Cole nodded understanding, "Well then, Best of luck I guess" he said. "Thanks, will really need it" I said smiling and left to catch a cab. I told the driver where I was headed to, a place I haven't visited in a long time, my one and only home.
