Vector's pov
As I continued explaining the plan in a detailed format everyone kept keenly listening as if their lives were dependent on my so called 'genius plan'. I tried staying calm and professional on the outside but on the inside I was shaking like a tree in a sandstorm. Leading always made all my hair stand up and I try my best to avoid the dependency people put on me after my mom died. Although Levi told me her death wasn't my fault, I always carried around the guilt, the fire did happen because of me. "Let's hope Nicole buys me enough time to check Mayden's connection between Japeth" I completed. "So when are we starting?" asked Leo, rubbing his hands together. Everyone's excitement to get this over with was really bringing my confidence level down. 'What if I let them down?', 'What if this all becomes a flop and I lead them to their deathbeds?', 'What if-' Questions started popping up in my brain. All these What if's were really feasting on my brain. Calm down Vector, stop the negativity, You can do this. "The faster the better" I replied. "Sweet! Let's rock and roll" Leo added still rubbing his hands. "You might want to stop that movement, too much friction" Ara suggested. Leo quickly detached both his hands in embarrassment. "Okay everyone wear your ear pieces and load your jackets cause the car's taking off in an hour" the General exclaimed trying to hide her excitement although she had done many missions. "General, no one says takes off, we aren't going to space-"Addison noted. "Ugh... come on I wanted to give punch lines and look cool, like feminine heroes" the General backed her statement. Everyone chuckled and headed to their rooms. It felt just like old times, Cole and Rae's normal bickering's were back, Leo still kept lightning up the mood, it felt like old times where we had nothing to worry about. 'Enjoy it while it lasts' my mom had said back once, 'cause good times are always followed by the bad times'.
