POV of Angelina

{My heart began to race as I wiped my now sweaty palms on my skirt. I took a shaky breath before responding.}

What do you mean? I'm sure you know your sister better than I ever could.

"Oh come on, I've known my sister long enough to know she's hiding something." He took a pause to open a bottle of whiskey before pouring into two glasses, teasing at the brim.

"I noticed it awhile ago but figured she would come to me eventually but she never did. You guys seem to have grown closer by being home together while I'm out, you must know something!" He said this while slyly placing a glass into my hand.

{I brought the offered glass to my face and took a huge gulp, loudly exclaiming as the bitterness went down my throat.

I heard a slight chuckle at my now sour face as I quickly poured out some juice and washed down the horrible taste.

The bed sunk as I took a seat on the edge, hugging a pillow in my arms.}

I can assure you that your sister is not up to anything. She is a very sweet girl, she's very smart and capable of doing things on her own.

"And strong minded, mustn't forget that, once her mind is set on something not even a bomb could scare her off."

Maybe too strong minded, I said as I guilty rubbed my hands together, picking at nails that weren't there. I let out a deep breath before retrieving the whiskey filled glass from the bedside table.

"Are you sure about that? Before you had a pretty bad reaction to it, I don't think its wise to keep trying things you don't fancy."

{I nod as I bring the glass close to my mouth, the smell filling my nostrils. } It's not wise to judge on first impressions, you never know what's behind that white vail .

{I smiled before taking a sip, letting it lay on my tongue before swallowing, the strong sweetness invading my mouth while the ice gave it a cool chill. I glanced over as I felt his eyes on me, his mouth slightly parted as he pushed my hair behind my ear.

I let out a small chuckle as I looked around the room, reaching for a framed picture of a young boy, a background filled with trees leading into a wood, a bright blue sky with a background of clouds.}

Ah, me in my younger days, I was quite the lad you know. This was on my birthday before the war, we took pictures and ran around like we had no care in the world. We were happy you know, not yet introduced to the harsh reality of the world. -sir James

I don't think anyone is ever ready for the real world
