POV of Angelina
I stared at him as he looked from her to me with a confused face, scratching his head and shoving his hands in his pockets.
Why are you two arguing? Did I do something wrong?- Sir James
I quickly shook my head as I grabbed his shoulder and dragged him away, glancing back at Beatrice before giving him my full attention.
We were just having a small disagreement on our views on a picky subject. I said giving him and assuring nudge
What's it about? I'm sure I can be of some use to the situation.- Sir James
I paused as I formulated my thoughts and ran my hand on the light green vines that hung over us, partially blocking out the bright sun.
We have this gift, and most people don't like seeing gifts like the one we have but for as long as we'd known each other, we've grown not to care, but at the thought of someone seeing the gift, one has to make the tough decision to make her gift disappear
So like when people have Pedophobia, a fear of dolls more so Porcelain, and you have a collection of them, but out of fear of being cast out by everyone else you let it go.-Sir James
I nodded as we paused over the bridge and leaned over the railing. Staring at the gleaming water below as small fish swam through it, looking for a new place to call home.
But the only problem is, the other gifted one doesn't understand the how important it is the other continues on her path, she doesn't know what was experienced so she repeatedly tries to get the other back on her side, almost exposing them both each time.
So why don't they take a leap of faith, and come out to the world with the gifts they share, wouldn't it be a waste if there were other people in the world that also shared the grift but thought they were alone because no one else stepped forward?-Sir James
Because it wasn't that simple, it would either be better or worse for other people like them if the secret was shared. Kind of like a hunter and prey situation, you wouldn't know if you set the trap or fell into it until you stepped into the light.
So what gift do you and my sister have in common?-Sir James
I paused and looked at him as he turned to me and looked me in the eye, raising his eyebrow in an inviting manner, almost tempting me to tell him but Beatrice's words rung in my mind as soon as I opened my mouth.
"If your husband found out he would skin us alive"
If I told you I would have to kill you before you told everyone else.
He paused before laughing at my joke and nodding his head. He held out his hand and I accepted as we made our way back to the house. I couldn't even count how many times I sighed in relief as we walked through the door and I made my way to my room, getting out of my clothes and into a warm bath.
Beatrice
I held my chest as I watched the two of them walk away, having no idea if I would be hung up the next morning. I couldn't believe that we were so close to getting caught and it was because if my jealousy. I picked up a small twig and poked the ground with it , upsetting a small ants nest not far away. I stepped back as the ants began to crawl out and turned to see a strange boy behind me.
And who might you be?-Beatrice
...
Angelina
The soft sponge glided over my body as I sunk down lower in the bubbly bath, my tied up hair slightly getting dampened before I scooped up water from the bucket near by and stood up, pouring it all over my body. I felt a small breeze and turned to the window to see Sir James outside in his riding gear, talking to a man as he gave him a envelope.
After a few more doses, I stepped out and wrapped the towel tightly around myself and quickly got dressed. I sat at the table and devoured the soup left for me, not realizing how much hunger was in me before I ate. Sitting back and wiping my mouth, I turned to see Sir James entering the room and placing an outfit on the table for me.
What's this?
Gear, I was going to take my sister riding but she hasn't returned yet and I thought what better candidate than my wife.-Sir James
Is that wise? I'm full of soup what if I throw up?
Oh, it's no worries we'll go slow.-Sir James
He said as he pulled me out of the chair and into my room, smiling as I came out all dressed up. After a couple of painful tries I finally made my way onto the horse, rubbing it's mane as it walked slowly through the open gate.
This feels so weird, like if each step it takes your body goes down an inch.
Have you really never ridden a horse before?-Sir James
Nope, never.
But your parents own a ranch, I don't understand that-Sir James
When I was younger I waited till everyone was asleep and sneaked into the stables and there was this horse that was my sworn enemy, so I unlocked the gate and jumped on her and she went completely crazy.
Your kidding-Sir James
No, woke everyone up and took hours to calm down, I was forever band from going on them and was punished with clean up duty for a month.
Wow, I didn't expect that from such a quiet person such as yourself.-Sir James
I fake bowed as he laughed and ordered his horse to got faster.
Hey that's no fair, you know I can't go any faster.
Why not? Live alittle , you won't die-Sir James
I gave him an unsure look as my horse slowly started to quicken its pace until it was finally in a gallop. I took off my helmet and waved it in the air as my hair flowed through the strong wind, my exciting screams filling the quiet field.
...
Today was really fun-Sir James
I looked at him as I lead my horse into the stable, closing the door behind it as I stuffed its head in the food bag.
Yh, it really was, I haven't experienced that ever actually, I didn't know the first time actually riding a horse could be so electrifying. I watched as he lead in his horse and held out an apple in his hand, the sound of the loud crunch made me smile as it raised it head back and forth.
Sir James! Excuse me Lady, but your sister has yet to return, I fear something may have happened to her, when was the last time you saw her?- Consultant
I looked over to Sir James as his eyebrows furrowed as he ran toward the man. Tell me everything you know-Sir James
