Sarah was surely shocked but Shaun’s eyes can’t hide that he was hurting deep inside. Hence, she did not make any remarks.

‘Sure. What do you need? How are you feeling? Drink some water first.’ She passed a glass of water.

After a small sip of water, Shaun lightly chuckled then turned quiet for a while.

‘Mr. Whitebeard was a funny guy. I always can’t tell if he’s serious or not every time he talks. He was just talking about leaving some of his riches to me. Did I jinx it? Was I his dark star?’ Shaun’s eyes turned misty in no time as he gripped the bedsheet.

‘Shaun. Mr. Whitebeard would not blame anyone. I am sure that God had a reason for taking his son to his kingdom.’

‘You may be right. I did not see that way until just now. God must have needed a whiny yet funny old man in the heavens. But it still hurts; did you know how pitiful he was? He might not have a corpse that we can bury, you know!’
