Mission 11

"SO, your name is Kiarra Zen Davis, right?"

We are here in Ma'am Ivy's office. We need to talk about something important as she said.

"My surname is Peralta, Ma'am," I corrected as I smiled at her. I raised an eyebrow, shrugged her shoulders, and nodded at me. She heaves a sigh then continues what she is saying.

"Okay then. I don't want this conversation to last any longer. I'll be honest to you." I was caught off guard when she put her hands on my shoulder and looked straight into my eyes. "My son, EJ, needs to be tamed in two months from now. The reason why I am doing this is we arranged to marry him to our business partner's daughter. We can't let them meet my son with that bratty attitude he got. So please, Kiarra. I beg you, This is also for him."

"Ma'am, no need to tell me because that is my job. I promise that he'll be a good man in less than a month." I made a promise to her, to Elizar's mom. She smiled and hugged in joy. She sincerely said her thank you to me. I can see her eyes sparkle in happiness so I can't disappoint her. I'll tame Elizar in less than a month as I promise.

"You can go now and take a rest. Thank you for today, Kiarra," Ma'am Ivy spoked. I nodded and left the room but bid my goodbye before I left. I was surprised when my phone beep means I receive a message or something. I stop walking and check my phone. Oh, it's a message from Elizar.

From Elizar:

What r u doing? If you are still awake, come to my room balcony.

I smile. I guess I miss talking to him even though we just talked earlier today. I felt a little excited as I think that I will get time to talk to him. I don't know what you have done to me, Elizar but why does it is felt so light? I do not hate the feeling, I love it.

When I reach Elizar's room, I knock at the door before entering the room. The room is so dark and that is so unusual. Elizar's room is always bright because he is scared of darkness. I walk near the sliding door to his balcony and slide it. The curtains flew in my face. I push the curtains aside, revealing Elizar's back. He is facing the moon, the beautiful moon. Starting from when he turns around to face me, everything becomes so slow.

He smiled. He greets me hi. I scanned his face again. He is smiling genuinely and joy is written in his eyes.

"Elizar, you aren't tired? You look after almost every guest who attends the family reunion," I ask him. I'm concerned about him, of course. He is my business after all.

"That's what I'm doing right now, Kia." He drags me closer to him. He snakes his arm in my waist and pulls me closer to him. I look at his face as he smiles and points to the moon above us.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it, Kiarra?"

"I agree. But do you know that phrase means something very lovely in Japanese?" He looks at me, confused.

"It means 'I love you' in Japanese. Lovely, isn't it?" I smile as I say. I saw how his cheeks turned red.

"You easily blush, huh? So cute," I giggle as I tease him. He glared at me and let go of my waist. "I didn't blush!" So defensive. I just giggled at what he said to tease him more.

"Just kidding. Let's just enjoy the view." He nods as a reply.

I WOKE up in an unfamiliar room. I look around and realize that this is Elizar's room I am sleeping in. I looked at the bathroom door when I heard it open. I saw Elizar half-naked, he was just wearing a towel around his waist to cover his private part. I felt my cheeks heated up as I roamed my eyes all over his naked body.

"Enjoying the view?" I averted my eyes and secretly pinched myself. Where are you looking at , Kia? I felt embarrassed.

"Why am I here?" I ask, still avoiding looking at him. "You fell asleep on my shoulder last night. You are too heavy for me to carry. How about losing some weight?" I look at my body. I remembered my childhood when everybody was bullying me because of my fat body.

"Am I that heavy?"

"Yes, probably you are heavier than me," Elizar honestly answered my question. I heave a sigh and nod. I guess I really need to lose some weight. I felt something vibrating near me so I tried finding where it was coming from and I saw my phone under a pillow.

"Hello?" I said as I answered the call. "Kiarra, can we talk now?" Oh, it's Dominic.

"Yeah sure. Where are we going to talk?"

"Let's see each other in the cafe near the school. In the cafe where we had lunch before." I said okay in reply. Dominic bid him goodbye and turned off the call. Elizar asked who it was and I answered it.

I heard Elizar ask or say something but I immediately left the room to talk to Roshiela for permission. She said I can go and meet whoever I am going to meet. I didn't say who. I just felt that I shouldn't tell her. I said thanks to her before leaving her to the living room. I fastly fixed myself before meeting Dominic.

"DOMINIC." I called him to get his attention because he is spacing out. I'm already sitting in front of him but he is just looking outside the window.

"Dominic," I called his name again. Good thing he snaps out of his thoughts because he looks at me and apologizes for spacing out.

"So what are we going to talk about?" I ask him directly. He sighs before answering. "It's about Roshiela. Listen carefully, Kia. I want you to take care of her. I love her but I can't face her like this. I'm going out of the country. I might be back after a year. I don't know but please take care of her and give this to her." He gave me a small paper fold into two. I smile at him, move to a chair closer to him before patting his back.

"Don't worry, bud. I'll take care of your woman with all my best. I hope everything is fine."

"Thank you, Kia. I'll go now or else I'll be late for my flight." I smile and wave my hands to him. I'm very curious about what happens between them but I think I shouldn't ask for now.

I was surprised when someone's hands appeared in front of me. I looked up to see who owns this hand and I found out that it is Elizar. He held my hands and pulled me to stand up. He drags me out of the cafe without saying anything. When we reach his car he opens the door for me.

WE ARE AT a salon right now. I ask Elizar why we are here and he just ignores my question and calls someone on his phone but suddenly a woman appears and hugs Elizar.

"Alice, go away, will you? Didn't I tell you that I don't want you anymore," I heard Elizar said and pushed the girl away from him. I gasp in surprise when the woman cried out loud and kneel down while begging Elizar to come back to her. It's catching attention.

I was about to talk but another woman appeared and peacefully dismissed the woman out of the salon. People are still looking in our direction. Other people pity the woman as I did. She doesn't have to do that.

"So, you are Kiarra?" I nod at the woman who came to rescue Elizar and dismissed the woman earlier. "Elizar said that you will be with me while he is doing something. So, let's relax here at my salon." She joyfully drags me. I saw Elizar leaving. I guess I should be more serious about my work. Starting tomorrow.
