5: "Maybe perhaps..."

Jamie was walking silently next to Yoan until they reached the bus stop, it was there where Min said a few words and the little boy jumped scared in his place —Are you scared of everything? Pay up already—. Jamie barely puffed out his cheeks and nodded obediently. After paying Jamie took a seat next to Yoan, Yoan frowned at him, but he still didn't complain because he felt that it was no use to do so if it was this boy.

It only took about twenty minutes for both boys to get off the bus and enter a normal looking house. Yoan threw his backpack who knows where and Jamie just kept his backpack on his back, he was a guest and couldn't just throw his backpack on the floor.

—Your house... it's nice— he said looking around and finding some decorations that caught his attention, they were ceramic figurines in the shape of adorable animals.

—You break something, and you'll have to pay for it— Yoan warned as he watched the boy try to take one of the figurines.

—Yes, I'm sorry— he quickly hid his hands behind his back, leaving his action in oblivion. Yoan nodded for him to follow him. They walked up the stairs and entered what Jamie assumed was Min's room.

—Woo...— He exclaimed when he saw the posters and writings on the wall, but what caught his attention the most was that electric guitar above the headboard of the bed, attached to the wall. Yoan Min was quite the rocker boy, or at least Jamie thought so now.

—This is not my room— Yoan clarified and Jamie tilted his head in confusion, in-then... If that wasn't their room, what were they doing there? —I got it, let's go out—. The little boy saw how Yoan was able to find something and they left the room.

—For a moment I thought that...-

—What did I like heavy metal? heavy rock?— Yoan arched an eyebrow wanting to laugh, —Do I even look like that?— Yoan rolled his eyes as he saw the boy thinking seriously, —Just shut up for a moment, come on, get inside—

They entered another room, which was next door. And to tell the truth he liked it much better, there were no posters and no instruments stuck on the walls or hanging around, no, it was simple and comfortable, the usual.

Yoan kicked off his shoes and lay down on his bed —Now then, speak—

Jamie nodded and cautiously approached the bed, taking a seat at Min's feet; He played with his fingers before and spoke —I... w-want you to be my boyfriend, but!, it won't be real, everything will be pretend— He kept his eyes on his hands, he didn't want to see Yoan's killing look, because he was sure he was dedicating one to him.

—Aha, I already know that story, explain why— Yoan did look at him, but not angrily, he was neutral. Maybe him lying on his bed relaxed him.

—M-my ex-boyfriend will study at our school, he, he was unfaithful to me and I want to make him see that I've already forgotten him—

—And it is not like that—

Jamie nodded biting his lip —For that reason I ask for your help...— He looked at him with sad and urgent eyes for that help.

—And why me, and not someone else?—

—Because you're the coolest in the whole school, you're popular, good at sports, rude, a-attractive.. great...— He felt his cheeks burn and swallowed saliva nervously. And let's make it clear that he wasn't lying and said all that because he really thought so. Yoan smiled slyly and did not avoid feeling too good, those words pleased his non-existent ego. For Min was that original, his popularity came on its own and without him having to go looking for it, something he found too annoying at times.

—Well, I admit that you have good tastes— Yoan smiled for a few seconds, —But, think a little bit kid, I can't show myself to be gay overnight, you understand, I'm not gay—

—It's a lie, please— Jamie clasped his hands together in a pleading manner and thus also transformed his expression. —I will do whatever you want for as long as the lie lasts— he said.

—Everything I want... go on, you are convincing me—

—Whatever it is, you command and I obey—

—It's tempting, really tempting. Maybe perhaps...— Yoan smiled a little wider and took a seat on his bed —I'll think about it, but hey- He quickly cut off the victory that Jamie's face was showing —Just because I think about it doesn't mean I'll accept—

—But you will think about it—

—I will— he rolled his eyes, Jamie smiled at him, —I think it's time for you to go, tomorrow I'll tell you what my decision was— Yoan smiled and closed his eyes to try to sleep, but he opened them when he felt that the short boy did not move from his place, —What are you waiting to leave?—

—How do I get home?—

Yoan frowned.

...

—You're good at this, Jam— The woman complimented the boy's ability to prepare fruit smoothies, —I would never have thought of that combination of red fruits and citrus before—

—My best friend taught me how to prepare them, he usually takes the place of the bartender at his place of work— He explained with a broad smile.

And a few steps away from them were Yoan and his father sitting on the couch, Min saw but did not hear that pair in the kitchen, he snorted in annoyance —He should be sleeping right now—

—Don't complain, I should be repairing the car— Mr. Min complained now.

—You are a failure dad—

—You too son—

They both laughed and then denied, they did look alike and they used to make funny comments to each other.

—Where did your brother go?—

—It went to shit—

—And it's far away?, I don't want your mother to worry—

—No, I guess he'll be back before eight o'clock—

The man nodded and turned his eyes back to the television —Good for nothing— The man dedicated to the baseball team —Yoan, change the channel—

—-I'm not going to move—

Silence and neither of them moved.

Mrs. Min tousled the hair of the tender boy holding the tray of muffins and they left the kitchen —You two, sit down like people and eat—

—I'm not hungry— Yoan said without further ado, folding his arms and glaring at Jamie. It had been a bad idea to come out of his room and meet his parents. —I will take it home—

—Not until I've finished eating and so have you.—

—You know I don't like sweets—

-He barely has any sugar, Yoan, he just eats. Besides, Jam prepared them and they turned out delicious— The little boy thanked her again and for a moment the woman wanted to be a mother again to have a child just like Jamie. —You see, Yoan?—

—What?—

—Be a little more like your friend—

—He's not my friend— he replied grumpily, sipping at his milkshake, and he wasn't about to admit that it tasted good. —He is just a classmate—

—Aha, can I get you some more, son?— She smiled and Yoan frowned and offered him his already empty glass to be refilled.

—I'm just thirsty, stop looking at me like that—

—Whatever you say son—

Jamie laughed a little bit but stopped as he got that look from Yoan again, but smiled inside as he felt really comfortable with Yoan's family, although he was curious about his brother the... Rocker?

...

Six o'clock in the evening came rather quickly for Jamie and slowly for Yoan. It was a relief for him to hear, -"Yoan, take Jam home"- from his mother. He after a long time obeyed on the spot.

—And where do you live?— Asked the pale one, Jamie told him his address and to his surprise it was only 10 blocks away from his house, —What the fuck— he cursed feeling stupid, but there was another thing, —Do you know that you are 10 blocks away from my house?—

Jamie tilted his head and looked around —Uh...— It was true, for there was the ice cream parlor he used to frequent —I hadn't noticed—

—Of course not— Yoan rolled his eyes —You invaded my house today, my mother now wants to adopt you and father... nothing happened with him, I'll still make you pay for this—

—H-how much?—

—You're hopeless— Yoan laughed in frustration.

—Just walk—

Jamie could understand it after a few minutes, don't blame him, he was nervous, Yoan made him nervous with that dark aura, surely he was not the Rock lover?; He unconsciously laughed, and Yoan passed him off as crazy, even so he smiled slyly in an amusing way..

... —This is my house, thanks for bringing me...—

—Aha, let me in—

—What? N-no!—

And Oh, that Yoan was denied something with that reaction appealed to his curiosity, something that didn't happen often, never, rather. He narrowed her eyes and wanted to tease him, —Do you have any forbidden toys in your room?—

—Uh?— "Toys? Could the Hulk action figure be taken as something forbidden?" Jamie wondered in his mind, cocked his head slightly —Hulk was a gift...—

—What are you talking about?— Yoan laughed and gave him an "innocent" in mind, —You're quite a case Park, now let me see your room—

—N-no!— He refused her entrance again, but why? —You won't like it—

—Somehow I have an idea, surely you must have thousands of animal stuffed animals, a giant bear and a unicorn or bear pajamas, or anything "cute"— He laughed at his random occurrence, Jamie showed his mouth half open, how did he guess?, Yoan Min had been in his room before? Impossible! Yes, impossible!

Yoan stopped laughing and looked at the expression on the opposite face, —Don't fuck around, really?— he laughed again.

—They were gifts he couldn't help but accept— Jamie defended himself childishly, —Stop laughing...—He puffed out his cheeks.

—You...-

—¿Jamie?, ¿Yoan?—

—Stef— Jamie ran to greet him —Cake!—

Stefan gave the pale one a dirty look ignoring Jamie who was rummaging through his bag, Yoan simply snorted in a smile, —What is he doing here?— he whispered his question.

—He accompanied me home—

—I see... wait, what?, why?, was this the important thing you had to do?—

—What you heard, I brought him home after he was at my house— Yoan answered.

Stefan opened his mouth in surprise and his hand lightly tapped Jamie's head, the boy puffed out his cheeks in complaint, —Why are you hitting me?—

—You must not go with strangers!—

Yoan laughed and interrupted —See you tomorrow brat— he said causing the Stef boy's annoyance.

—Goodbye, Yoan!—

—What did I miss?— Stefan was very, very confused.

Jamie took him by the hand and they entered the house and then went upstairs to his room to eat cake, while the little boy was lying face down on that giant plush stuffed animal. Stef listened attentively to the afternoon his friend had spent with that Yoan boy.

.

The next day, thursday morning, to be exact it was 7:13am; Jamie was still asleep in his large bed while Stefan, who had stayed over, as usual, was preparing breakfast, as usual.

Within minutes the whole family was having breakfast rather quickly, Jamie's parents had an important meeting to attend and Stafan and Jamie were running late.

—Goodbye mom, goodbye dad, all the best at work!—

—Goodbye children, take care!—

They shouted goodbye to each other.

—Friend, do you think Yoan will accept?—

—I doubt it—

Jamie stuck out his tongue at him for being his slightly naughty friend —He will agree to help me—

—No lo creo—

—Stef!—

—Hey, brat, it's too early in the morning for me to have to put up with your shrieking— Yoan commented, appearing behind him. Both Jamie and Stef jumped in place from shock, but Jamie's shock was much more noticeable —Pair of fools—

—Idiot— Stef didn't hold anything back and wasn't afraid of anyone —Come on Jam, the doorbell is about to ring—

Yoan stopped Stef from holding Jamie's hand, as he put his arm around the little boy's shoulders while pulling him away and holding him close to his body, —If you want to touch my boyfriend, ask for permission first— Yoan smiled slyly. Stefan's blood boiled. Jamie was left happily going over the words he heard and Nathan let out a clear:—What?— as he touched his hurtful blow.
