Stuck on a Desert Island

I could feel the millions of pieces of sand press against my back. The sand was warm, providing comfort to my back, while the cool breeze gently slapped my face protecting me from the sweltering sun. Although this felt relaxing, I couldn't gather any energy to move. As the waves washed up, I could feel the wet sand fill between my toes. This brought back so many memories of me playing at the beach as a child.

I could hear the sea crawling on to the sand, but also bashing away at the rocks in the distance. I could hear the rustling sounds of the trees in the distance. I hoped and hoped for food, as my stomach began rumbling. I could smell the lovely scent of the washed up waves. I gently opened my eyes to see the sun playing upon the water. What a lovely sight, but as I stood up and turned around I was shocked. In front of my eyes was nothing but a forest of tall, thick trees staring at me. It wasn't nearly as beautiful as I had imagined it to be.

I looked around to see no one else was there! This could only mean one thing, I was stranded on a desert island! How did this happen? When did it happen? These thoughts were running through my mind as I began to panic. There was no wildlife near by which made me feel secure but also meant there would be very little food. It looked impossible to get past the trees, and as it began to get darker I had to find shelter somewhere. The sky was filled with clouds and suddenly the winds got faster. It seemed as if a storm was approaching. The weather was changing, I had no food nor any form of shelter, and worst of all, I was alone.

In the distance, there were many hills which gave me hope that there was something or someone, also alone, waiting for me. At this point in time, all I could do was hope. The waves got faster and now were up to my knees as the sun started to set. I already knew it was going to be a long night but there was nothing I could do! Within seconds, the rain started pouring. What seemed as a few drops soon became very violent. I stood there, with my arms spread out as the rain engulfed me.
