The Casalyians are a noble race, maintaining the isolation their mechanical city in the sky affords them. Their abilities and wisdom exceed those of the humans.

But sixteen-year-old Creed Angelus has applied to the Council of for permission to visit with the Humans. His goal is clear and attainable, study the humans to see if his race could live with them.

 Crystal placed her finger on Ashley's lips, shushing her. "I never stopped, from the moment I picked you, I knew you were meant to be my little one. Okay? So stop worrying. When I come back, I will protect you." But she thought angrily to herself that she will kill that woman, make her pay for all the harm she has done. 


 Vincent yelled out, agitated, interrupting Crystal and Yin's reunion. "I've waited an hour now. What do I need to know?" 


 Terrence looked toward Vincent's back. "How did you know I would only be an hour? I never said anything about time, nor even if I would be here." 


 Vincent turned his head slightly. "I think we have known each other long enough to guess old habits, Terrence. You said you were going on a date with the school nurse. Every time you say something like that, you mean you are going to collect what information you can, don't follow me."
