Chapter 2

Alex and Anthony are singing happily with their parents. They are on their way back home from celebrating Christmas together at restaurant.

"Dad, Mom, Alex have many girl posters in his room!' Suddenly Anthony shouting at his parents. Alex quickly pinch his brother so hard until their parents have to look at them.

"Alex, you can't do that to your brother. He is still a kid." Say his dad. "But dad, he is the one who started it first!" Alex shouted angrily."Alex! Don't talk like that to your father!" His mom advice him. Suddenly Anthony see a kid running into the road and panically shouted "Dad!".

His dad quickly turn the car to avoid it from hitting the kid. He did it but unfortunately the car fall into the gorge. But a miracle happens which is both of the brothers are safe.

*1 week later*

"Anthony, it's time to eat!" Alex say to his little brother. Alex get no answer in return and go to check his brother at his room. When he open the door, he see his brother crying on the bed.

"Alex, when will mom and dad come back home?" Anthony said with tears flowing down from his eyes. "They will come back one day. But for now you must eat or else you might get sick. I bought you your favorite chicken. Now let's eat!" Alex trying to lighten up his brother's mood even though his mood is also not in the best condition.

"No I don't want to eat until mom and dad are coming home!" Anthony say to Alex. Alex sign heavily before heading towards the bedroom door. Leaving before he cried infront of his brother.

*1 month later*

"No, you can't do like this to me! Where would me and my brother live if you take this house.". Alex burst out his anger."I'm sorry I can't do anything about it. You will have to live at the orphanage house." Said the officer. Alex is so mad while hearing to what the officer said.

He will have to move out from the house in 3 days since the house has been sold. He doesn't have any relatives and he doesn't want to live separately from his brother.

Suddenly he heard a car sound outside the house. He peeked out to see who was coming. The car stop and an elegant lady come out from the car. Alex ask the lady what is the purpose for her visit to his house.

"You're Alex, right?" The lady ask him instead of answering him. "Yes I am. But who are you?" "I am your mom's friend." Alex nod after knowing who is she and take her inside the house. " I'm sorry to hear about your parents' lost." "Oh it's ok. But what is your name miss." Alex ask the lady politely.

"I'm Ms. Courtney." Alex's mouth forming an O shape. She saw some boxes at the corner of the house and asking Alex what is the boxes for. "Actually I had to move out from this house since it has been sold." Alex explain it sadly.

"Alex!" Anthony is searching for his brother. "Oh who is that?" "It's my brother." Alex answered it and calling for his little brother.

"Maybe I can make both of you my adopted children." Ms. Courtney suddenly said to Alex. "Oh, really! Yes!!" Alex shouted happily. "Yes tomorrow I will go and get the permission to adopt you guys and you guys can move to my house." Ms. Courtney say to Alex.

*Tomorrow*

They are on their way to the new home. Ms. Courtney has get the permission from the court and now they are moving to their new house."Where is we? Why is the house is in the jungle? And the road is full of dead trees." Alex is a little bit scared by the view meanwhile his little brother is sleeping on his lap to prevent him from crying over the view.

It's already evening and they finally arrived at their new house. "Wow! It is so big. Is it a villa?" Alex is so lost in thought until he didn't even realize that he has stepped into the villa.

"You guys must be so tired after the long ride. Let's have dinner first and I will let the maid to show you guys your room." Anthony is glued to his brother since he still feel a little bit scared by the new changes in his life.

They both go to the dining room and sit at the table. Ms. Courtney come and join them at the table. They had a little conversation while waiting for their food.

Suddenly a maid come from nowhere bringing their food. She placed it on the table and excuse herself politely. "Did Dianna had her dinner yet?" Ask Ms. Courtney to her maid.
