CHAPTER 12

After a while, both of Sara and Alex had reached the dining room. Alex see Anthony is already sitting at the dining table while talking happily with Dr. Ryan. As soon as Dr. Ryan saw Alex in the room, he quickly get up from where he is sitting and sit across the seat he was sitting earlier. Alex sit at the seat which is just besides Anthony. Meanwhile Sara put Dianna on a chair besides Ms. Courtney's chair.

Sara then went to the kitchen to prepare their dinner for tonight. Meanwhile others are waiting patiently for Ms. Courtney to arrive at the dining room. After a short time later, Ms. Courtney finally arrive at the dining room. Everyone quickly stands up and wait until Ms. Courtney to sit down. As soon as Ms. Courtney take her seat, everyone else also doing the same thing.

Ms. Courtney greet Dianna and kiss her forehead lovingly. All of a sudden, Ms. Courtney speak through the quiet room making both of Alex and Anthony look at each other, confused with the current situation that they were going through. "My daughter is so cute today! Don't you sweetheart?" Ms. Courtney say while caressing Diana's cheeks.

Ms. Courtney looks so happy. Laughing and talking with the doll like she was in her own world. And Dr. Ryan, being a mind reader that he probably is, calmly whispering towards the brothers who is clearly confused on what is happening right now. " Madam just take her regular sedative injections that can keep her happy and calm." Alex just nodded and continue to eat his dinner peacefully.

After the so called peaceful dinner, Alex and Dr. Ryan are currently at the balcony, talking about Ms. Courtney's health. Sara quickly make some hot chocolate and get ready to open the gate for Dr. Ryan. "Actually what had happened to her?" Alex without hesitate, quickly ask Dr. Ryan about the poor woman's health condition.

"Actually, madam is suffering from some sort of disease called schizophrenia or in simple language is called mental illness. Means she will talk to herself or talk with anything around her and also hallucinating about her favourite things. She also has her own world so you don't have to worry if she suddenly do weird stuffs or her mood just suddenly swing." Dr. Ryan explain it to Alex while drinking his hot chocolate.

Alex just nodded when he heard the doctor's explanation. "How is it possibly happened? I mean look at her! She has a wonderful family before. How can this thing happen?" Alex ask the young doctor innocently while sipping his drink.

"It can be anything Alex. The death of her beloved daughter, use of chemicals, her surrounding or genetics problems are some of the possibly reasons that can cause this kind of mental illness." Dr. Ryan answer Alex's question calmly.

"Did you.. hmm.. have some methods or medicines that.. you know.. completely heal her?" Alex ask the young doctor again. Hoping that there were at least a way to bring back the normal Ms. Courtney.

"Honestly, I don't even know. We treat patients based on their respective cases. There were a few cases which took a month to be treated. There also some cases which took a year and some cases that never can be heal. At this point, we only give madam some sedative injections so that madam will be happier and can live a normal life just like others."

Alex just make his own conclusion in his head. Alex assumed that Dianna's death is the main reason on why Ms. Cortney is now suffering from mental illness. But even though he already knew about the mental illness, how about other incidents that happened to him. Dianna's laughing sounds, the doll was standing in front of his bedroom's door in the middle of night and other incidents.

Or maybe, it's just Alex imagination only. Alex try to think positive but he is 100% sure that it really happen! Alex was never took illegal drugs! And Alex know that he isn't insane! So he is so sure that it is real and not just his imagination.

"Oh it's already 9 p.m. I need to go now. It's getting darker now. I will come again to treat madam. And also thanks for the dinner and this pleasant hot chocolate." Dr. Ryan get up from the seat he was sitting earlier while bowed a little as a thanks gesture. Alex bowed back and smile towards the young doctor.

"I also wanna say thanks to you for saving my life earlier. If you don't, I think I might be a ghost now. I hope that I can return your kindness back one day." Alex try to joke around with the doctor. While thanking him for saving his life. "It's fine. It was my job to help people in need." Dr. Ryan just smile a little while walking towards his car. Everyone just watching the luxury car owned by the young doctor drive away from the villa.

As soon as Alex stepped inside the villa, he heard Ms. Courtney's laughing inside her room. Alex try to think positive even though he can't anymore. His whole body is shivering. "Dude, remember what Dr. Ryan said earlier. Mom just in her own world!" Alex mentally scold himself and quickly walk towards his room. Scared on what will happen if he stay longer outside.

But, Alex just got some feeling that say it isn't just what he think it is. There were something more that are so dark, hiding in the villa that make Ms. Courtney is suffering from mental illness! Alex just hope that the curiosity inside him quickly disappeared. He just doesn't want anything bad to happen to him or Anthony just because of his curiosity.
