Chapter 11:Helping those who despise him

Towards the end, Sebastian had no choice but to sigh and ponder deeply.

Lord Qi's Pavilion was acting brazenly at the moment, even though Tian Shuangmen did not like his gift, one could simply see the intention behind his actions.

Those maidservants held undecipherable thoughts, and with a glance at him, Sebastian sensed that even they could see through his cultivation.

In the last few months, Tian Shuangmen had developed quite a bit of control over his strength, and likewise, the situation with his cultivation stabilised.

At this moment, Sebastian still retained his battle power of the 3rd Boom realm, but emitted the pressure of the 3rd level of the Opening realm, which served as a perfect camouflage, however, even so, he knew that those maidservants saw something in him that could very well be his exposed camouflage.

How challenging was a cultivator like that... how much curiosity could that arouse on the part of the countless experts in the Divine Purple Empire?....

Sebastian was already well aware of how harmful it could be for his combat capabilities to be known before he had a chance to develop...he could even fall victim to elaborate ploys by greedy powers....

That was what alerted Mu Huanzhi, and though he knew that it might be tinged with some tinges of exaggeration, one thing was certain, in the world he had fallen into "the strong are winners and the loser is a thief".

As long as one had enough strength, the things one could do throughout the world were limitless, there were reports of exceptional cultivators who were heroes, as well as truly despicable and feared people throughout the realm.

That Lord Qi's Pavilion would throw this stone slab into his hands gave him the idea that this entity might well want to bind him to its interests by benefiting him, or fattening a calf for the slaughter.

Thinking about it, he looked at the stone slab in his hands.

Going back a little in time, Sebastian rethought the two reasons why he did not want that object after a glance.

One was that initially he was neither willing nor qualified to bid the initial auction amount, even if he wanted it, he simply didn't have the money to bid on it, even if he said he did, everything else was an elaborate bluff that many people fell in love with.

The second reason was much simpler than that

The recipe that the mystic stoneware contained, was constituted in such a way that although it had certain benefits in opening the deep entrances, it was simply too high a price to pay.

It was a pill that consumed the latent talent in the organism to allow it to open the deep entrances and bestow an enormous amount of power in a short time, originally Sebastian thought that this pill was not meant to be harmful, but rather a last resort emergency.

If consumed, the power would be enormous and permanent, but advancing from that point later would be a rather extravagant dream, unless it was absolutely not needed and would work against the cultivator.

Thinking clearly, Sebastian only managed to decipher this when he pieced together the knowledge he had gleaned from Elder Xuzi's tomes, the processing methods and the plants that were used in its confection were meant to basically create a time bomb.

-(Now what can I do with this thing...?)," Tian Shuangmen questioned himself as he looked at the stoneware.

More than losing the gold coins in a joke to Lan Zhao, the fact that he had lost them and in return had been given that seemed to him even more stressful...what could he do with a poison like that?

Anyone who could read his thoughts would simply vomit blood.

He came out unscathed from provoking a cultivator more powerful than him, received a gift from such a large commercial entity, gaining quite a lot of face in the process, and still complained?

Anyway, towards the end, Sebastian decided not to pursue the matter any further, he was glad to get out alive even though he wasted so much and ending up getting bored, he decided to meet with Mu Xilei, Mu Xioqi and Feng, preparing himself for the first girl's taunts...

However, although he prepared to leave and forget that stone slab somewhere later, Tian Shuangmen found himself watching the Wang figures waiting anxiously outside the auction site, clearly waiting for him, for there were almost gleams in their eyes when they met him.

-Hm?

-Greetings brother!...I am Wang Cheng and this is my grandfather Wang Yi...we have been waiting for you all this time," spoke the younger one quickly.

Wang Cheng already admired Tian Shuangmen after all that display of skill, even if it was only ingenuity, since he would not have come up with a method of humiliating Lan Zhao just like that, and in fact because of his strong temperament, he was even willing to die to make up for the offence he had received.

Tian Shuangmen actually had good impressions of that boy, at least he seemed to be of sound mind and not arrogant because of his seemingly bigger cultivation than his own.

On the other hand, Wang Yi looked at Tian Shuangmen neutrally, his cultivation did not impress him in the least and in fact he seemed much less willing to talk to him.

All this stemmed from his low cultivation.

Looking at his grandson, Wang Cheng with a cultivation of the eighth level of the Settlement Realm, he even felt aggrieved to see him so happily conversing with Tian Shuangmen.

Since he was about the same age as his grandson, that Sebastian was only at the 3rd level of the Aperture almost made it an insult that he had to wait for that boy.

-Waiting for me?...talk then, what business do you have to discuss with me?" he interjected curiously, polite but still steady in his seat, noting the two Wang's dispoinctions.

-Brother, may we know his name?" the younger Wang questioned anxiously.

-This one's name is Tian Shuangmen.

-So Tian Shuangmen... good name..." replied the boy laughing-....vera brother Tian, my grandfather and I came here today because we heard that the stone ware that Lord Qi's Pavilion had unearthed from our ancestor's tomb came here, and was to be auctioned today. ...originally we were happy and even when Lan Zhao started bidding aggressively, we even considered buying the stone ware from him, however he gave us a setback and almost made us lose our face.

-Imagine how incomparably happy we were to see that beaten dog Lan Zhao get what he deserved...brother Tian, you made him lose face completely and utterly!...even now he may have died!

-Cheng er don't be shameless," Wang Yi shouted as he patted him on the head.

-Hmph...he deserves it for looking down on my family Wang...I hope not a single trace of his filthy person can be seen again....

Wang Yi sighed helplessly while denying his grandson's hopelessness...

As for Tian Shuangmen, he had a good impression of Wang Cheng's character, at least he seemed decent and proud at the same time.

-So... what is your business with me?" he asked, looking at him, with every intention to help in any way he could.

-Junior, hand over the stoneware with my ancestor's pill recipe... if you hand it over now, my Wang family will duly compensate you," the older Wang commented casually.

There was no hint of the kindness with which he had treated Lan Zhao.

His current behaviour was clearly because he despised Sebastian's "low" ways and his truly rubbish cultivation, although it was not entirely because of that.

Tian Shuangmen had already been seen getting into trouble inside Lord Qi's Pavilion, with that, it was almost certain that his chances of getting out of the building completely unscathed were little more than zero, at least he didn't know of any troublemakers getting out of there unscathed, no matter if it was one or the other, Wang Yi was sure that Lord Qi would deal with him later in some way.

And secondly, even if inside everyone was subservient to Lord Qi's orders, it was not the same outside the pagoda, out there, the Lan Family would certainly take action against the boy once he came out, even with his identity as Zhou Xuzi's disciple, Wang Yi had simply become too afraid of those people to consider that Elder Zhou would be enough of a backup...

In his opinion, only one of the guardian families could save his little life, but since he clearly did not know that he was linked to the Mu family at that time, he simply let his ignorance take an arrogant stance in front of the boy.

-Your status as a disciple of the White Physician certainly let you drown in the money provided by your grandmaster and basically cut yourself off from all avenues of life...right now I am just asking you not to let my granddaughter accompany you and give me that stone slab to save her....

Faced with the old man's brutal honesty, Wang Cheng clenched his fists, clearly displeased with his grandfather's behaviour, yet Tian Shuangmen laughed and waved a sleeve.

-I couldn't expect a bit of courtesy from you, I should have guessed that of course, however I'm still not surprised, when Lan Zhao bullied him, you even lowered your head and seemed willing to tolerate his humiliation, Wang Yi, it really is your fortune in life to have had such a good grandson," he commented, maintaining the tact with which he reprimanded him only on behalf of Wang Cheng.

Elder Wang basically turned green, when he was reminded of his beggarly attitude towards the brat who insulted him and told him to shut up, if compared to now, it was as if he had eaten a spoonful of dirt.

However, Tian Shuangmen continued his attack.

-At this moment, it's not like I'm afraid of death, even the Lan family is beneath me and mark me down a bit, simply because even if I look like this, I could take care of him, he can only blame his dog's head for losing his temper and provoking the one he shouldn't have provoked. As for you, I'll let you see if I live or die, as for your granddaughter...I have no problem giving her that stone slab, but you should know that that pill you hope to save will end up crippling your granddaughter and any hope you had for her....

-Do you dare to be so rampant with me, you brat?

-Whether I dare or not is none of your business, you're lucky that even with your ugly character, I want to help your granddaughter.

And so saying, he threw the stone slab into the hands of the old man who had scorned him, scowling at it.

He might laugh at such behaviour as the old man had shown him if it were someone else, but after seeing him act especially pathetic in front of Lan Zhao, he simply felt contempt, no matter how old he was, he still didn't equate to have a shred of his respect.

Finishing speaking to the old man for good, he looked at Wang Cheng.

-Brother Wang, since you have treated me so well, if you want me to, I can attend to your sister tomorrow.

-Really...would you really do that for my family Wang?" the young man commented anxiously as he seemed completely indifferent to how he had spoken to his grandfather, to which Wang Yi confronted him with a frown.

-And what could you do?...could it be that you have a better method than my ancestor?

Tian Shuangmen simply ignored Wang Yi and smiled at Wang Chen.

-Definitely, tomorrow morning I can treat your sister and solve whatever danger she was in, at least I would be a lousy disciple if I can help someone and I don't..." he laughed as he waved his hands in a pleasant gesture...

At Tian Shuangmen's words, the Wang took an inspiration.

Even if they looked down at his cultivation, his disposition was not bad, besides that, being the White Physician's disciple as they recognised him, he might actually have a method to save the young Wang who was in trouble.

Even Wang Yi, acknowledged that, even if Zhou Xuzi could not protect his disciple, it was still very possible that he had transmitted a special secret method to him, the tales of his miraculous abilities were certainly not a lie...

As for Wang Cheng, there was still more admiration, in a world like the one they lived in, getting help after his grandfather would have intimidated him so much, certainly another expert would not have helped him, but seeing Tian Shuangmen, there was something in his particular character that made him believe without a doubt that he could help his sister, and being that he loved her as much as he did, he could not let that opportunity go to waste.

Before Wang Yi could say anything, Wang Chen had the temerity to go ahead of his grandfather and accept Sebastian's help with a smile as he cupped his fists.

-Brother Tian, if you can help my sister, I'll definitely repay you....

-Hahahaha...no need, the only thing I will ask for will be a good meal...one can buy, spend and squander, but without eating none of it can do...-he commented laughing, as he looked pleasantly at Wang Cheng- tomorrow then, I will meet you at your residence later brother Cheng, I will say goodbye first...

And under a few more words of farewell, Wang Cheng let him go with a smile and leaving a deep impression in his heart...

Tian Shuangmen sighed and smiled as he descended through the pagoda's floors.

He had originally intended to buy something and learn how to use it, but who said he was so poor that he couldn't buy anything?...he would even have been content to pay for a meal, but he had a sudden attack of heroism and ended up losing all the capital with which he had climbed up that tower in a well-crafted bluff that he had cemented with that money.

Towards the end he could only sigh again.

Zhou Xuzi's kindness could not be forgotten, if the old man sacrificed so much just to save him, who was he not to follow his example?

At that moment, it was more than clear that the real responsible for his death was himself, for saving him, he had unleashed a minuscule part of his cultivation, and let that terrifying prince find him...that being the case, Tian Shuangmen had decided to reinforce his desire for revenge towards the guy who took his master's life, regardless of the whole context in which the old man was involved.

And thinking about it again, he had no difficulty in extending his hand to help Wang Cheng's sister, if anything, he could practise his medicine-making skills a little more, which would help him a lot.

It was still clear to him that in order to grow up in the world, above all he needed resources, even if he was supported by the Mu family, in the end he could not depend on them forever, after all, they were just a small family in a frontier town...the world was too big.

Thus, his intention to help the Wangs was certainly sincere as well as a little anxious.

From a work point of view, he was in a hurry to start making medicine, and from a humanistic point of view, he was in a hurry to help that girl so that her smelly grandfather couldn't spoil her future with something toxic like that medicine of his.

Hence stipulating that he would go to her residence only a day later, he was certain that the stupid old man would definitely ignore his advice and end up crippling his granddaughter in a mediocre cultivation forever, so he wanted to avoid wasting as much time as possible.

There was still plenty of time left before the first-tier selections for the 4 supreme sects tournament began, so he could afford a slight detour.

In the time he had left, he had to learn more powerful skills to depend on than his hyperthymesia, otherwise, just watching, remembering and learning the skills of the contenders he encountered would not be enough to make a difference in the combat tournament.

From the Mu clan chief's words, even if it was shocking that he could remember without fail how Mu Xilei performed the technique and after that, he could use it to such a high degree as to allow him to follow the girl's footsteps, it was still far from being a higher grade skill that would allow him to be on an equal footing with the young generation geniuses of the other families.

Thus Tian Shuangmen knew that although he had potential, he was still incomparably weak to the youngsters who had true cultivation in the Boom Profound Realm, if he wanted to increase his strength, equipment, and martial skill cultivation were essential.

The Mu family would have no problem supplying him with that, that was what Feng guaranteed.

However, Tian Shuangmen still couldn't help but feel a little stinging, considering, the skills he had seen in the Mu clan were not entirely to his liking, to make matters worse, his spiritual root was very common so none of those clan skills could be cultivated to be efficient for him.

That was what he was thinking, when a rumbling sound brought him out of his thoughts, and what he saw stunned him.

Mu Xiaoqi had burst through a wall right in his direction!
