"head to the woods!" Osako yelled as the ronins made their way out of the Edo castle, prancing over the bodies, they themselves killed.
When the ronins left the keimusho, they planned to escape from the castle, by being occulted from watchful eyes by darkness and stealth, that prevailed until some point when they reached the castle gates, taking out the guards before the gates was inevitably needed, the soroundings of the gates were plane, no house was build near it, nor was any tree planted near it, it was needed that the ronins should come out of their hiding places and fight their way out of the castle, against not six soldiers still full of strength.
The ronins took out the guards before the gates, sounds of swords slashing on armour and cries of agony, alerted quite a few other guards stationed at places not too far from the castle gates, but before any of those guards could arrive, the ronins had fled the castle,
The guards could only see them scampering into the dark gloomy woods.
As the ronin's scampered, some looked back but never saw samurai's or ashigaru soldiers coming after them, could it be that they aren't chasing us - a few of the ronins asked themselves, some thought maybe osako had struck great fear into the emperor, that he told his men to let them go.
****************(Minutes later).
The ronins ran till their legs ached them so badly, no distance seemed to guarantee them safety, they have gone too far away from the Edo castle, yet very many of them, still had doubts they haven't gone too far to assure safety.
It didn't take long, many of the ronins stopped moving with speed, their foot ached due to a long journey,
Osako too, who seemed to have the most fortitude amongst the ronins, couldn't run anymore, but rather strode in other not to pass out due to exhaustion.
"We ve been running for hours now, it's best if we catch a breath," osako said, and dropped effortlessly to the ground, he sat with his back reclined to a tree, feelings of relief paltered his whole body, he puffed in relief, his fellow ronins also found places to recline to, trees, rocks, to some, laying on bare ground was desirable, given sleepless nights, Puffs and snores veiled the whole atmosphere, given a plenitude of people regaining lost strength through all forms of rest.
The were in middle of the woods, in the middle of nowhere, all they knew was that the ends of the southern woods leads to the sea that serperates japan from Korea,
That very southern shore, is where the official port of the Empire is located, quite a few buildings were erected at that very port, those buildings served as the captains and sailors office, tickets are booked there and people also travel and come in through there, other shores sorounding the Empire were all made illegal places for leaving and coming into the empire, those who follow those places will be thought as Invaders and taken out with siege catapults by samurai's guarding the shores.
Escaping through the southern shores wasn't much a worry for osako and most of the ronins, at the tree where Osako was, mitsuo, takeshi and Kubo sat near him too, normally the four of them loved being with eachother,
Kubo flanked osako by the left mitsuo and takeshi flanked osako by the right.
"I still can't understand how yoshiyuko appeared to the emperor" osako said,
"Only a Necromancer can do that." Mitsuo said, osako looked at him seeming surprised mitsuo bought gen's idea that yoshiyuko was a witch under the coven governed by a necromancer.
"Necromancy is the highest sorcery ever practiced, osako said.
It was abolished in this empire long ago, everyone possessing such power were all excecuted by emperor imada,
