Chapter 42: The Letters (Leonard)

I slowly opened the door of his room. Caitlin went outside, so I didn't need to knock. Actually, I still didn't learn the manners to knock. I smiled thinking of when Cathia caught me when I knocked at our room's door.

Leaning against his study desk, I trailed my finger across its edge. And I remembered the day when dad bought him his first study desk. At that time, me and Darren, we both hadn't been to school yet. So, we didn't get one for us. There was a huge quarrel between the two of us because Lionel still had space for another chair beside his desk, and he choose to share his desk with one of us. But we both were unwilling to let go. So, Lionel totally gave up his desk and asked the two of us to take over. That was utterly embarrassing for us. In the end, dad had to buy two more desks for me, and Darren.

I smiled. Lionel was always willing to share with us. He was always willing to give up for us too...
