Death of Memory and Her

"You should be at your quarters, Servant"

The cold and deep voice made Seira hastily open her eyes. Her hand covered her trembling lips along with her tears rolling down on her cheeks at the sight of the man in front of her. She choked back her tears "Y-you-you're Highness" she cried out.

"Stand up and find your way in your room" Kyrian ordered.

Seira nodded frantically; getting up on her feet. It is then she notices the hand of Kyrian extended in front of him and blood dripping down from her hand. Her eyes widened at the sight. The large claw of the black dragon was pierced through on his hand. The sleeve of his right arm was torned revealing a black line of tattoo that she had never been there before. "Y-you-you're hand—"

"Didn't we make a deal to not touch any human…… Tenebris" Kyrian's voice became deadly.

"Jas ne sledam nikakvi naredbi osven bozicata krunisana za princ na Adeosian" (I don't follow any orders aside from the goddess, crowned prince of Adeosian)

"You're contracted to me, Tenebris. My words are superior to your conceited self as long as the agreement is still not fulfilled" Kyrian nonchalantly pronounced.

A loud deep thunderous and ear splitting distant gastric roar of anger came from the dragon. It's claws pierced the ground making an extensive hole in the field. Seira's hair flew from the blood curling roaring sound that brought tears in her eyes, bringing goosebumps. She was shaking. What kind of terror is this? This is not a usual dread that a person can give. The feeling of extreme fear was creeping into her. What is this? She holds her breath when her eyes meet the red orbs of the dragon before it harshly flaps its heavy wings.

Dust, dirt, and ashes of the grass entrained in the air at the movement.

Seira instinctively covered her eyes. She peeked at the sky to see the shadow of the dragon flying away from them. It is only then her legs give out on its own accord. Her energy seemed sucked up from her and vanished into the wind. Tears were continuously flowing down her cheeks.

Kyrian glanced down at the big hole in his hand. The pain will be unbearable for a normal mage even to a high ranking person but for him it was an equitable pain. He experienced way more than the pain he had right now that was way more terrifying that he tried to kill himself. His eyes landed on his personal servant that was slumped on the floor, staring vacantly at the nothing. It's been years since Tenebris tried to kill mages or anyone but the Altor made a sudden appearance the other night for the reason he is still trying to ponder. All Altors were firm on their convictions and principles. There's no way that it will kill a person as he made a contract with him in the past but if the person had something that went against his held belief, he knew Tenebris would kill anyone despite the contract. Now, what does this woman have that made Tenebris act against his principles?

He raised a brow when Seira's uncomfortably cold hand curled around his wrist.

"Th—thank you, You're Highness" she faintly muttered.

He pulled out his hand and crouched down on Seira's side; gripping her chin to look at him. He needs to erase the memory of the woman. Useless rumors were the last thing he needed. His ocean strong blue eyes met the amber irises of Seira with unshed tears.

"Death of memory" he uttered.

In pronto, a black circle with small ancient writings appeared on his irises. Different past images flash before his eyes. He focused on the image of Seira from hearing a loud resonating sound upto to the events right at the moment. The images dispersed in black smoke. As the image of Seira staring at nothing faded away, he was about to close his eyes when an image popped out of the blue. An image of Seira staring at her reflection in the mirror, wearing a sleeveless dress. Her white hair was scattered splendidly in the front, covering her shoulders. His hand stopped from pulling away. Instead, his grip tightened at her chin. He frowned when he caught sight of the black tattoo when Seira's hair moved to the side.

"Your Highness!" A soft voice yelled in the distance. Worry was evident in the tone.

He drew out his hand on Seira's chin who toppled on the ground and stood up. With one last glance at her, Kyrian averted his attention towards the barefooted old woman running wearing a white long sleeve night dress—Ms. Cora.

"Your Highness, what happened to your hand?" Cora asked as she took notice of the grievous wound, holding Seira's shoulders. She heard the loud roaring sound in her room. The feeling of something was happening, she decided to step outside only to find the prince and Seira along with deep holes in the field.

"I suggest to warn the servants seriously at the matter of stepping out on their quarters at this time" Kyrian nonchalantly stated, pertaining to Bella and Almira who was rushing towards them.

"Seira!"

Cora glanced over her shoulder, understanding Kyrian's words "Understood, Your Highness" she said but Kyrian was already walking away.

"Ms. Cora, what happened to her?" Bella asked between her breaths.

"Is this the true color of her hair?" Almira mumbled, staring at the white hair scattered in the grass.

"Wow" Bella said in admiration as she slowly kneeled on Seira's side "Why would she hide this kind of hair?"

"It's not the time for that, we should get her to the infirmary this instant" Cora interrupted. She remembered how Seira said she was bald but it turns out the woman had a hair. Shaking her head, she gently tapped Seira's cheek. The young woman might have a reason for covering the dazzling hair she had.

"Seira, Seira"

Seira slowly opened her heavy eyes, sitting up in the ground.

"Thank goodness!" Bella exclaimed while Almira and Ms. Cora took a breath of relief.

"Uhm….." Seira raised her hand for support as her mind was blank. It felt like something was missing but she can't pinpoint "Why am I here?"

"You don't remember why you're here? Wait, are you hurt somewhere?" Bella asked; checking her.

She thinks for a moment. Aside from the faint stinging pain from her small wounds and the throbbing of her head, there was no other soreness on her body "No"

"Are you sure you don't remember why you're here right in front of these big and massive holes?" Bella pointed to the hollow surfaces.

"I don't"

"Did you see one of the Altor?" Almira straightforwardly asked.

"Altor?!"

"Yes, we concluded earlier that the destroyed part of the field might be caused by an Altor specifically Tenebris"

Bella gasps "Tenebris? How come you two came up with that?"

"Altors don't come here Almira" Cora interrupted. No one must know that an Altor was coming here.

"Now, stop your chattering and let's all head back inside our respective quarters"

The two nodded, helping Seira to get up.

"Thank you" Seira muttered, smiling a little to the two girls and to the head of the maidservants. While the four of them approached the castle, her eyes diverted to the radiant and golden moon casted in the night sky along with a humble number of stars. Didn't the moon hide in the clouds and there were no stars earlier? She shut her eyes as the pulsating of her head became imminent. With one last glance at the night sky, she stepped on the threshold of the door in the backyard of the castle.

"Come with me Bella, we will get some medicine to aid her wounds" Ms. Cora said, catching the attention of Bella who nodded.

Before Ms. Cora left, she held her hand and put the black artificial hair in her hand. She glanced down at her wig and back at Ms. Cora wearing an understanding smile on her face.

"Let's go" Almira ushered her to enter their quarter with her hand over her shoulder.
