The Strange Emotion

A strong gust of wind passed on her. All of a sudden, a firm arm hugged her other shoulder, easily swinging her to the other side. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Kyrian's hand gripping the long arrow of light.

Two portals appeared on the surface right where Yeoman and Darrien lay, drawing them inside until the portal vanished into thin air.

Kyrian pulled away and promptly glanced at the holes in the ground, spotless. He clenched his jaw, knowing that the two escaped.

The black claws fade like they have not been there before. Dust was entrained in the air from the rumpled ground. Number of holes, cracks, and raked grade the solid surface. Trees fell over.

"Sorry, I didn't—" Gia said apologetically, fully aware that the two men escaped because of her. If only she didn't get near, the man would not have any way to get Kyrian. She was stupid!

"Is he safe?" he asked with the same tone; indifference and unemotional.
