D-day: Until We Meet Again

Kaylessa turned to her left and saw their leader—General Nicodemus. She was right. The black serpentine was from him.

"Get her, Kaylesa" Nicodemus ordered.

"Understood"

Druevia stood up and wiped the blood on her lips. Spirits do bleed. As soon as they are summoned, their body becomes like a human—vulnerable and easy to bleed to a small brush.

She once again attacked the serpentine with her spear pointed at it. The serpentine thrash its tail that she dodged but it grazed her skin. Ignoring the pain, she moved her hand in an attempt to stab the snake but a thick vine curled around her waist and threw her to the ground for a second time. She roughly fell on the grass-filled forest floor. She was yet to regain her stance when she saw the snake and Ampelia above her, all set to stab and tear her apart.

She put her spear above her to block the pointed vine and large teeth moving in a flash to her. In a spur of her predicament, she saw Kaylessa running towards Seira.
