It was tiring. Seira had been running for so long that she ignored to count anymore. It felt like she was running on an endless empty road with a feast of trees on both sides toward the blinding light at the end of the road. But she felt it was far. Too far from her.
She put her hands to her knees as she caught her breath. The sky was dotted with white clouds and the orangish tinge of the sun was cast in the sky showering the land with warmth.
As she calmed her breathing, she stood still in the middle of the road of nowhere. She takes a step forward to start her never-ending run out of the mystifying place she was in but she stops middle way when a thick fog emerges out of the blue. The fog covered the once rich green colors of the trees and the rest of the road. It moves slowly towards her.
She frantically glanced around to the thick clouds crawling towards her. Her heart hammered against her chest.
