Gia calmly made her way to the servant's quarter after she passed on the royal guards that strictly inspected her even though she was going in and out of the palace numerous times already. Even now, everyone was on edge. She can catch how the royal guards were rigid and on high alert.
On her way, she saw servants and the other highly-known organizers in the Kingdom all busy doing their things. Some were running with decorating materials hanging on their arms while others were all engrossed in scrubbing the floors, wiping every window and some were trimming plants. It was all in the preparation for the festival. No one seems to be resting among the servants. She wanted to ask where Almira was but she held herself, not wanting to disturb the people.
She kept on walking, turning a lot of hallways, deciding to wait for her friend outside the servant's quarters when she saw the old woman who was the head maidservant in the palace—Ms. Cora.
