Exchange of Hearts

It has been three years since I left country C. I missed everyone. Mama, papa and Lance. They didn't know my current situation. They just talked to Alison. They are encouraging us to go back. 


"Alison, I think you better come back." 


"We'll be fine and Max is here with us." 


"How about you? Will you not let my brother know that he has a son?" 


"He doesn't deserve us Alison. The moment my baby girl died my love for Adrian died." 


I loved Adrian more than anyone in this world 3 years ago but, the moment he betrayed me and I lost my baby girl, every feelings for him died too.. 


I was heartbroken to see how he just betrayed me. Alison and I went to France. Her parents let her see a doctor. A specialist for heart illness. He is also came from Country C. Because Alison has illness I have to stay strong. I didn't want her to feel sad. I forbid myself to show emotion. We had an apartment that was near to my school. I kept myself busy with my studies. One month my menstruation was delayed. First I thought it was just hormonal imbalance. Then second month, I felt dizziness, I started throwing up in the morning. 


I went to the doctor and I got tested. 


"Miss Shen you are 7 weeks pregnant. Congratulations! Lets check the baby. I will ultrasound you so we can see your baby." 


I felt so happy. Even though I was heartbroken atleast we are going to have a baby.. 


She pointed two little fetus. My heart was full. My tears run down my face. I also have twins! 


So I tried my best to be strong and to be normal. I was just focus with my pregnancy and my studies. 


As my stomach became bigger many have noticed especially Alison. 


"Big sister Daphne, are you pregnant?" 


I smiled at her. "I'm sorry for not telling you. I'm afraid it will affect your condition." 


She smiled yet her tears formed into her eyes. "Oh my gosh, I'm already an auntie." she came near me. "Can I touch it?" 


I held her hands and place it to my stomach. At that time I was already 6 months pregnant. My babies are already moving. The moment I landed her hands on my stomach the baby kicked. "Oh! It's moving." She kneeled down and caress my stomach. 


She kissed my stomach. "Babies, I'm so sorry. Your father is an asshole. Auntie will take care and love you" 


It touched my heart. "Thank you Alison!" 


"Why don't you call my brother? I heard from mother that he was still looking for you. Maybe if he would know that you'll have kids he will ready to settle down." 


I was not a fan of that idea but maybe Alison was right. Maybe we can be a family. 


I took the phone and called his apartment. I memorized it. I put it on a loud speaker so Alison could listen 


"Wait let me call him. His in the shower. Oh wait, came out. Baby, someones looking for you." 


"I was about to give you a chance because I heard that you still looking for me. I thought we can still be together after all but again you break me." 


"Daphne?! Princess where are you?! I've been looking at you." 


"Enjoy your life without me. I wished I never called you!" 


"Daphne..." But I threw my phone and everything scattered just like my heart. I cried without thinking if Alison saw me. I was wrecked! 


"All my life I love him. My world revolves around him. But why did I always end up hurting?" 


Alison cried for me too. Then Alison saw blood running down my legs. 


"Max, you have to help us. She's bleeding. She's pregnant!"
