Chapter 35

After dinner we were allowed to go watch movies, play board games or walk around the halls, naturally I chose to walk the halls and Evan decided to join me.

We didn't really talk much at all, both of us were in our little worlds walking aimlessly through the halls.

Stopping I looked out the window in of the hall, it was over looking the front yard and it was raining, you could see flashes of lightening off in the distance, hear the faint roar of the thunder.

Placing my hand on the glass window I let the coldness outside seep into my hand and send shivers through my body.

"What are you thinking about?" Evan asked.

"I wasn't really thinking of anything at this moment." I replied softly.

"Do you miss your home?" He asked, I could feel his presence right beside me.

"No." I answered my voice cracking slightly, I never really had a home.

"You sure? You sound like you're about to cry." Evan pointed out, obviously catching the cracking in my voice.
