Chapter 30

Jamison waited there for a minute.

“If this doesn’t stop, we’re going to have to get him mental health help,” Trevon retorted, “possibly inpatient.”

Jamison trudged over to his dresser. He opened the top drawer, which was crammed with nourishment packets. He chose one, pocketed it, and turned his attention to the teleport.

“On my way,” he told hologram Nessa as he squared his feet on the floor disk.

He studied his implant. Then he swiped it sideways. As always, he was broken into bare molecules and materialized inside Area 51. After extinguishing the security cams, he jogged to the holding unit.

Nessa angled her implant at the passcode device.

N377A, the combination appeared on her implant and on the pass-code pad.

It took her eyes a second to adjust. The energy shield had become her new normal, and gave a faint light that enabled her to see the chamber outside.

Jamison held the nourishment packet in her direction. She took it with both hands.
