A man suddenly appeared out of thin air. He was standing not far behind Xue Ji. His style of speech was quite calm, but his tone was very distant. It showed neither warmth nor cold. One would not know whether he was Xue Ji's enemy or friend.

"Who are you?" Peng Yuan asked after turning to look at the foreign man. He was a middle-aged man wearing an expensive robe. Somehow, Peng Yuan guessed that the man was from a kingdom.

"Young Master, I would like to speak to this lady," said the middle-aged man.

Peng Yuan frowned. "You may speak now, sir. But if you are allowed by her."

The middle-aged man smiled. He looked at Xue Ji even though the woman kept her back to him. "I hope I don't have to be violent just to talk to you, Young Lady."
