I felt my body turn black and milky-white as my eyes began to shine with a purple radiance. Solar and Arc energy continued to swirl around my body as three orbs made of Void energy formed around my back. My tears were being evaporated by the intense heat surrounding me, but I couldn't feel it.
I couldn't feel anything.
The images of Sayuri and Amelia's bodies being torn apart haunted my vision as my nails dug into my palms, drawing blood that dripped down to the ground. Another pained scream escaped from my throat as I held my head and thrashed around before stopping and whipping my head around and settled my bloodshot gaze on the Knight.
I slowly turned around and the Solar and Arc energy surrounding me doubled in size as I began to shamble toward the Knight with an almost lifeless stare. I couldn't hear anything and I couldn't feel anything except for a strong sense of bloodlust directed toward the Knight. At this point I didn't even remember why I wanted to kill him so badly, but it was like a natural instinct that I couldn't resist.
I appeared in front of the night snapped my fist out, slamming it into his stomach and sending him flying into the air. I leapt up and kicked the Knight in the jaw before creating a platform underneath my feet and dashing forward. I collided with the Knight and continued to soar through the sky as we flew straight past the City's walls and landed in the fields outside.
My fists pummeled the Knight as I stared down at him with a blank gaze. His screams and wails fell on deaf ears as I continued to assault him with a barrage of punches and kicks. Suddenly, images of when I had first met Sayuri and Amelia popped into my head, making me hesitate as the pain in my body grew.
The Knight roared and slammed his fist into me, sending my body flying away once more. I stood up and turned my furious gaze toward the Knight as Domenth landed next to me in a low stance. "Master! Get a hold of yourself!" Domenth yelled my name over and over, but I only heard the sweet voices of Sayuri and Amelia telling me to kill the Knight and bathe in his bloody corpse.
Black flames began to slowly swirl around my body as they formed draconic scales, similar to that of Domenth's, over my armor. Two large, black horns jut out from my head as a long black tail sprouted from my back. The claws on my gauntlets elongated and were sharpened to an unbelievable degree as a black aura spread out from my body.
All traces of Light vanished from my body as the Darkness took over and began to whisper into my ear, disguising itself as Sayuri and Amelia. I leapt forward so fast that I left a tangible afterimage and, by the time it had vanished, I was already carving deep wounds in the Knights body.
A deep, guttural roar tore through my throat and I slammed my fist on top of the Knight's head, shattering the ground underneath and popping him open like a watermelon. I stood up and let out a primal scream before pointing my palms down at the Knight's body and barraging it with strong blasts of Darkness.
My eyes began to slowly turn red all over while my body began to slim down and grow more streamline as two black wings sprouted from my back. At this point, my conscience was not my own. I could see, feel, and hear everything, but I wasn't in control of my body. All I could do was sit in a pitch black room and scream in pain as guilt racked my very soul.
Suddenly, a force slammed into my side and pinned me down on the ground as a voice yelled in my ears. "Master! Calm down! They can still be saved, don't let the Darkness take over! Master!!" My rage began to boil as I shouted "Liar!! They're dead, and it's all because of this damned world!! I'll kill them, I'll kill them all!!!"
A voice cackled in my mind as it said "Yesss...they are all liars, and your only choice is to destroy them all for killing your loved ones...feel my power flowing through you and use it!" I smiled and said "Yes...power...I have it now...I can get...revenge..."
I moved my head and looked Domenth in the eyes before blasting him off of me with a burst of Darkness. I stood up and rolled my shoulders before flexing my new wings and tail with a slight smile on my face. I turned toward Domenth and saw the Knight rise up from the large hole in the ground behind him, filling me with glee.
The Knight was now covered in icy shards of Darkness with a powerful pressure radiating from his bloodshot eyes. I shot past Domenth and threw out my fist toward the Knight. He raised his palm and blocked my punch easily before grabbing my hand and tossing me around like a ragdoll.
I smashed into the ground and latched onto the Knight's arm before breaking it with a small amount of pressure. I escaped from the Knight's grasp and leapt up to him and kicked out, connecting with his face and sending him staggering back.
I landed on the ground and pushed off once more, launching toward the Knight faster than a bullet. My fist slammed into his gut and barely cracked his icy armor while ice began to slowly spread around my fist and up my arm. I coursed Darkness through my arm and shattered the ice before blasting the Knight with the pent up Darkness.
The Knight's armor shattered around his chest but reformed immediately after. I could feel myself getting annoyed by the Knight's cockroach-like resilience. I dodged a heavy punch and watched as the Knight's broken arm reformed and popped back into place with a grotesque crunch.
The Knight formed a large sword out of Darkness and slashed out. The attack was too sudden and too fast for me to completely dodge, so I opted for a roll and felt the sword nick my ribs as I got to my feet. The Knight began to throw out a flurry of slashes, stabs, punches, and kicks, forcing me to stay on the defensive while my wound healed.
The Knight broke my guard and was about to plunge his sword through my body, but a large winged figure barreled into his side and began to snap at his neck. Domenth's neck began to glow a bright orange before he opened his fanged maw and let a torrent of Solar energy engulf the Knight's head.
I was about to rush back in and attack Domenth for attempting to steal my kill when Wraith, Cayde, Zavala, Ikora, Sigbrand, and Sigwulf stepped in front of me with their weapons aimed at me. I snarled and held my clawed hands out and was ready to attack.
Suddenly, a warm feeling spread out across my back as a soft voice said "Please...no more...I don't want to lose you to the Darkness...please..." My hands began to shake as my conscience began to return, but the Darkness was much stronger than before.
I dropped to one knee and grabbed my head in pain as voices began to scream out and tell me to slaughter them all for getting in my way. I yelled out and pressed my forehead against the ground as the voices got louder.
"Kill them! Devour their bones! Do it!! You wanted power, so take it! Kill them!!"
My eyes began to change back to purple before going back to red as I fought the Darkness. I have so many people that needed me, and I had so many people to protect. I can't just lay down and die when they need me the most, even if I have to face unimaginable pain along the way.
"DAMNIT!!" I screamed out as the voices were slowly being drowned out by everyone else. They were calling my name. Inside of the dark room, I reached my hand out toward the small speck of light above me as the voices of Sayuri and Amelia filled my mind.
"It's okay, Lucifer, we will meet again...just stay alive..."
The feeling of being trapped and vulnerable washed away as the Light cracked the Darkness around me. I felt the Darkness being purged from my body as I was filled with an unfathomable amount of power, even more so that when I was possessed.
My screams stopped and everyone stood there in silence. A large pillar of bright flames erupted from my body and rose into the sky like a flare as I stood up and drew Sol from its sheath. I walked through the opened everyone had left for me and walked up toward the Knight and Domenth, the latter soon jumping away and transforming into his Human form before bowing low.
The Knight wasn't even harmed from his attacks but, when he saw me, he had a look of pure horror on his face. The previously black horns, scales, wings, and tail on my body were now orange with a tinge of blue and purple as the Light filled every part of my body.
The Knight scrambled to his feet and swung his sword out toward me, but it shattered before it could get close to me. I continued to walk forward and the Knight began to walk backwards in an effort to evade me.
I flicked my wrist and a large gash appeared on the Knight's chest, black blood spurting out of the new wound. The Knight roared out and dropped to his knees before yelling "No!! I am the Osmium King, a God amongst all! How can I die by a mere Human!?"
I stopped in front of him and raised Sol high in the air, its blade engulfed in flames that continued to climb up into the sky, before saying "I am no mere Human...I'm a Guardian!" I swung Sol down with all of my strength and watched as its fiery blade cleaved him straight in two, along with a large amount of land behind him.
The Osmium King's body began to burn and turned into a pile of ashes shortly after, making the whole thing seem like a dream. My body returned to normal, however, the Light continued to fill my body no matter how hard I tried to force it back to its original state. That was probably the only reason why I was still standing.
I stood there for a long while, just staring at the Osmium King's ashes, when a comforting embrace wrapped around my stomach. I didn't even have to look down at the pale blue hands to know who it was. I continued to stand there as I fought the tears blinding my eyes and muttered "It's all my fault...If I would've just stayed here...hell, if I wouldn't have picked up this damned armor in the first place, all of this could've been avoided..."
My voice broke and the surroundings were silent as I balled my hands into fists and berated myself for my foolish actions. The arms around my stomach tightened as a beautiful voice said "It's not your fault, Lucifer. You did everything that you could, and no one can say otherwise. If anyone else was in your position, they wouldn't have made it out alive. You are the strongest, most brave person that any one of us have met..."
I loosened the hands around me and turned to face Mara. Her beautiful eyes were filled with worry as she grabbed my hands and waited for me to speak. I sighed and looked to the side as I said "I know what I have to do...please, forgive me..."
I stepped away and leapt toward Domenth and commanded him to change into his Dragon form. I landed on his back and told him to take me to Sayuri and Amelia. His hesitated for a second before taking flight. We reached the walls in a few minutes and I soon spotted the two familiar bodies on the ground.
I forced myself to look at them as Domenth landed. I hopped off of his back and began to walk toward them, their eyes closed with expressions of content across their faces. I dropped to my knees and gingerly touched their shoulders as tears began to fall down my face once more. I took a deep breath and finally realized why I had so much Light at the moment.
I calmed myself down and held my hands over their hearts as I directed all of the Light I had toward my palms. The Light exited through my palms and directly into their hearts. I had no idea of this would work, but I needed to try...I had to be selfish...
The feeling of a dagger piercing my heart made my concentration waver slightly, but I pressed on. I had to know. All of a sudden, the pain stopped and my Light refused to move anymore as two beeping sounds came from above me.
"Can you move for a second? This is kind of important..."
