"Mummy!" Liu shouted upstairs to his mom. He couldn't reach the fridge handle, so he had to call on his mom.
His mom came and saw Liu. His 5 year old body was trying to jump up and reach the fridge and was failing miserably.
She stifled her laughter and helped him.
At night, Adam his dad came home. He took a shower and played with Liu a bit.
Liu always thought that statues would move, if you didn't look at them. And Adam always showed evidence that proved otherwise.
Liu puffed his chest out and pulled out photos from his pockets. There, was photos from paranormal tv shows. It showed statues moving and it was obviously fake, but Adam just played along as if he was beaten.
After 30 minutes, Liu's mom was done cooking dinner. It consisted of buttery mashed potatoes with gravy, boiled corn seasoned with salt and pepper, stir fry beef and green beans, and homemade lemonade.
Liu happily munched the food, and all was content.

Liu was attending his parent's funeral. (HOLY SH-oh wait no curse words. But seriously? This psychopath friend of mine legit just made this sad. -Koru.)
They were heading to dinner, when a car swerved and crashed right into them. His parents died instantly, while Liu had a few broken bones. His relatives tried to confort him, but it was to no avail.
Liu just looked at his parent's pictures emotionless. Would his parents still be alive if he hadn't requested to eat outside? Liu had many questions in his head.
After the funeral, Liu went to live at his aunt's house.
