BAA LOST

While we were going back to wherever we going, I broke my foot by smacking into a huge rock; out of my sight. I wasn't able to stand up so baa made me sat on the horse and he started walking himself. Soon we were in front of a barricade with police and ruler's bodyguards. A strong wind blew and our scarf flew away with the wind. We stopped for some time to think. The barricade was surrounded by 4, 40 feet tall minaret like towers. There were 4 spotters on the corners of each tower. One of them shouted at us "prove your identity." One of the bodyguards started approaching us slowly with a long rifle aiming at us. We had only 2 options RUN or DIE. So we chose to run. We applied the same strategy baa and I went opposite sides, but this time I was on horse and he on foot. I turned my face around and check where the bodyguard is going. But he was just standing with a bow and an arrow with a flare at its end. He shot it and as soon it reached a bit high in sky it busted and a huge flare was in the sky. I understood that he was alerting the others in my and baa's way. I made the horse stop and took a sharp U-turn and hid in a street nearby. Thank goodness that the horse was very calm that day. So he didn't make any noise. The day's brightness turned into night's darkness. With much difficulty I moved out of the street. While I was passing the barricade that bodyguard shot the rifle at me but instead of shooting me he shot the horse. The horse died at the spot because the bullet shot at his neck. I left the horse and ran to my house without stopping. I found maa again standing by the window in the house. As she saw me coming she opened the door, but this time baa was not there. We both asked the same question at the same time: "where is baa?" my mom fell on the ground when I told her about the wanted poster and about the death of horse. She cried soar tears that what if the soldiers came to our house searching for you both. She stood up and stood near the window. I asked her what you are going to do. She said I am going to wait for baa. She never went out the house without a male or she would have already been out to find baa. I again wasn't able to sleep that night too. Again and again I saw my mom standing still near the window weeping. Next morning, I stood up at dawn and got prepared for market but maa said "don't go" in a low voice who was still standing near the window. I said to maa "I'm going to find him." She caught hold of my arm forcefully and said "I said don't go." In angry voice. Her eyes were red like an apple due to restlessness and her voice was like she didn't drink water for days. I asked her to lay down and sleep for some time. She nodded her head in unacceptance. I convinced her and said "I will stand waiting for him." Then she slowly went to the rag placed on the floor and sat. I added water from a bucket in a glass and gave it to her. Her hands were shaking due to weakness. She drank the water slowly. Then I helped her to lay on the rag. I stood near the window and waited for her to go to sleep. She dozed off quickly. Soon she was murmuring in dreams. I quietly took the knife from kitchen in case I need it.
