Walking through the streets of Kiten with a nostalgic look on his face Sekke smiled a bit. The people who recognized him were happy to see him back in town. Many were thanking him for saving the town just now but most were just happy to see the blond boy back in town.

Sekke greeted the people as well who were asking about how his life was after joining the magic knight squad. They didn't even bother to ask about him joining black bulls as according to them if Sekke joined the supposedly worst squad of the kingdom then it must have been for a reason, though many of them thought that it was only a matter of time before Sekke changes the squad's reputation.

Soon reaching in front of his house Sekke knocked on the door.

"Aren't you quite the popular man?" said Vritra.

"Well, unlike you they know the dark lord's majesty and charm," replied Sekke as he waited for the door to be opened.

Soon the door opened and Sekke smiled widely seeing the blonde-haired woman who was in front of him. But soon his smile started to fade as his mouth started opening and soon it was wide open.

"Se-chan!!!" cheered Sekke's mother Elaine as she saw her son in front of him.

She ignored his shocked face and just went in for the hug which seemingly snapped him out of the trance as Sekke hugged her back and said, "I am back Mom."

Feeling her emotions raise a few tears came out as she kissed Sekke's cheek after Sekke bent down to her level.

Sekke smiled and then the two broke the hug not waiting for a moment later Sekke said what was bothering him for a while and asked, "Tell me that I am wrong, but you are not just gaining belly fat right?"

"Hey?! Is that the way to talk to your mom after coming back after so long? And no I am not getting fat!! Hehe Se-chan is going to become a big brother soon." said Elaine as she smacked Sekke's back before gesturing for him to come inside the house.

Entering the house Sekke looked around and noticed that his house was mostly the same.

"What happened to the old sofa?" asked Sekke.

"A-Ah! I-It got old so we decided to change it," said Elaine but Sekke could see her blush and fidgety body with a knowing smile on her face.

'...Ewww, they fucked there and broke it!' thought Sekke as both he and Secre cringed.

Secre who was now out of his pocket flew towards Elaine who was happy seeing the anti-bird.

Secre landed on her shoulder as Elaine petted the bird with a soft smile.

Sekke looked at his mother and his familiar and soon said his thoughts.

"Yup can't handle it. Mom, rest up. I will do the chores." said Sekke as he walked towards Elaine and moved her to sit down as he started doing the cleaning when he noticed that his mom was in the middle of it.

Elaine immediately started protesting saying that it was her job and that Sekke should rest since he came back after such a long time.

But Sekke didn't relent this time as there was no way he was going to let his pregnant mother do chores. She might be fine and young to do so, but he just didn't want her to strain her body.

'Will have to get a helper to do the chores.' thought Sekke as he made a mental note in his mind. He earned enough and he still had all the loot from the dungeon what was he even going to do with all that saved-up money anyway. He would mostly be out of town on his job if his parents lived well then it will just give him peace of mind.

"Done with the cleaning what's next?" asked Sekke.

Elaine looked around the house which was just looking very sparkly and pouted. She was happy that Sekke cleaned the house but seeing him do it better than she made her pride hurt a bit.

"Just rest. Or better tell me how about your days at the magic knight squad," said Elaine as she wanted the seat beside her.

Sekke smiled as he took a seat beside her and told her about all the things that he did though he still kept a few things secret from her.

Elaine was just happy listening to Sekke's story but soon she noticed something and asked, "Se-chan...do you have a girlfriend or some girl that you are interested in?"

Yes, she didn't hear him talking about any girl. The only thing that Sekke focused on was a promotion, work, training, getting stronger, and the dark lord this and that.

Getting caught off-guard Sekke just closed his mouth and turned silent. Secre and Elaine looked at Sekke who just turned silent and wondered what was he thinking.

Soon Sekke shook his head and said, "No there isn't anyone like that... at least not yet."

"Oh, I sense foreshadowing," said Elaine as she turned curious.

"Who knows?" said Sekke with a shrug which made the lady pout at her son's response. She wanted to hear about any potential daughter-in-law. And this son of hers was keeping the information away from her.

She immediately looked at Secre and asked, "Secre-chan is there any potential daughter-in-law in Sekke's life right now?"

Secre looked at the woman who asked her the question and simply pointed at herself.

Both Sekke and Elaine blinked in surprise as they looked at the bird.

But Secre didn't fall under their gazes and stood proudly as she continued pointing at herself.
