"Yo Lester!" A voice came from the side as Lester who had just exited the building lifted his head from the booklet he was given to look towards the call.
There was Patrick with a huge smile on his face waving to get his attention.
Waving back Lester walked towards Patrick with his recent interaction with Felix in mind. He did have an interest in staying on the island and using it as resources so that he could not only make connections but understand more of the system here.
Lester also heard of many other resources that could be used here in this island, and surely there had to be more valuables from the alien spaceship that had crashed a few years ago. Using his vast knowledge and understanding of thousands of techniques and cultivation methods, he could possibly use it as a bargain for any sort of treasure. The only things he really lacked were treasures and alien resources, two things that the Cultivation Island could help him with.
Besides how hard was it to complete two missions a month?
"Dude! How did it go? What is your rank? And are you gonna stay here?" Patrick bombarded Lester with questions as he was clearly excited.
A little overwhelmed Lester puts away the information he had received from Felix and begins to respond to Patrick patiently.
"Well it went fine I guess, I'm part of the island now ranked one thousand four hundred and twenty-two." Lester voiced as he put two fingers up
"Ah! I got one thousand three hundred and forty-seven!" Patrick excitedly raised his badge which showed the numbers '1347'.
"Yellow Dragon?" Lester read the name on the Badge.
"Yup! That's mine! Surprisingly no one picked it as it was too "domineering" and "audacious." Patrick started raising his hands and gesturing with his fingers whenever he stated the descriptions, "Even the instructor tried to dissuade me from choosing it as it could bring me trouble, but I was sure of this name as from the moment I received the cultivation book you gave me… Anyways what's yours?"
"Black Seed," Lester said plainly, and Patrick nodded in approval.
Smiling Lester continued, "We might as well stay here right? They are giving us some time for a free trial, besides the requirement to keep the living space isn't too harsh."
Patrick nodded, "I agree, besides no offense, I was getting a little tired of the cabin…"
With a laugh, Lester suggested checking the phone where there was a floor that needed two people.
From what he had seen the phones were extremely important and full of resources for people who had just joined the island. From this mobile device, they could simply look towards which residential locations are vacant and activate their trial in that place.
Some places were restricted by ranks, while others by organizations and nationalities it was clear that there were some investments made by certain powers to gain certain privileges. In addition, the people who were already living on that floor had to set their requirements as well, and lucky they had found one which was open and available for them.
"Here!" Patrick points towards one on his phone.
"Pass me the information," Lester asks as he begins to receive information causing him to type on his phone quickly.
Both men activated their trail to a residential building in the D Area. and began walking towards its direction conversing through the whole walk.
Through their conversation, they were able to understand each other's goals and where to go from there. Both Niko and Patrick were going to use the first free month to continue building their foundations and to grow. Afterward, they would pick up missions together if possible, as they had trusted for one another and they were unaware of how these missions would go down, and they definitely needed to learn more.
"Here we are!" Lester said looking towards a huge building in front of them. There were at least 20 floors on it and each floor housed six individuals. The building was tall and wide, with its foundation shaped like a triangle. The walls were gray with a huge insignia on it that was the same as his badge and other buildings in the island, the insignia of the Cultivation Island.
Both men look up towards the building that was currently dwarfing them. The surrounding area looked completely man-made but the ratio of green and concrete was perfect. The green grass surrounding the buildings as well as some thin trees with circular green crowns. There were several walkways parting the grass from various angles, and each walkway led to a different location.
Cultivators with various diverse looks walked through these walkways discussing everything from news to techniques. The strange part about all of this was then that there weren't any roads for vehicles, and instead various walkways. This made Lester feel slightly strange as it would need some getting used to.
Both men walked in and were asked for their identification which they proceeded to show their ID. Shortly after they were allowed access into the elevator where they went to the 11th floor and prepared to finally see the area they would be staying in for the near future, as well as the people he might be sharing the floor with.
"Ta Ding!"
The elevator made a ringing sound as it opened slowly revealing a wide spacious room with glass walls revealing the surrounding architecture in the cultivation island. The space was very modern with clean nice sofas and other structures that made the living space seem very comfortable.
As they looked around there were also rooms on the walls with a screen on the side with names on them.
The names ranged from Rising Sun, Hair Witch, Wild Madman, Sword Disciple, and their own names were also next to each other on one side of the wall.
As they walked in, more of the space was revealed as there seemed to be a bar area on the right side of the wall which also exposed two individuals, a man and a woman who were discussing something.
Noticing Lester and Patrick walk in, the man raised his hand with a smile and said, "Welcome to floor eleven!"
