Chapter 8 : Breakfast club.
[ TWO WEEKS LATER ]
" Get down from there Ica ". Nectar yelled as she reached out her arms. It'd been two weeks since she'd brought the kids in and thankfully Eros hadn't asked about it.
The kids were slowly adjusting and showing their personalities. They were all energetic but Jewlica was simply mischievous. The girl was nimble for her age and often made Nectar cry out for her.
She was dressed in royal furs, brown in color and clapped her hands happily. She was sitting on a high branch just out of reach and the servants were all lost. They couldn't interfere, lest they hurt the child or anger their empress [ We have such tough luck ].
Nectar crossed her arms. She'd just come back from morning court and was still in her stuffy clothes. She had on a green ball gown with black highlight and attachments. She lifted her dress, showing her green stockings and ran up to the tree before they could react.
The servants gasped as Nectar jumped off the tree and caught Jewlica who laughed happily as she was in the air. Nectar landed softly on her feet holding Ica in one hand and dusting her dress with the other hand. She straightened her crown and walked towards her palace yelling " Kids I'm back, time for breakfast ".
The servants looked at each other, seeing the dumbstruck confusion on each others faces. Their master, the empress and first woman of the empire had just jumped up a tree and lifted her skirt. Such wasn't for their eyes to behold but was neither for their mouths to speak, she simply ignored them and left .

Eros had just come out of the throne room and saw his ministers dispersing as well. He looked to the other side of the large walkway which was where the empress was supposed to handle court affairs .
It was nicknamed " DIAMOND PAVILION " after the very first empress. The emperor loved his wife very much but his empress was quite restless and hard to win over. He knew how much she loved the outdoors so he had it built like a tent.
He used to love looking at it but now he hated it. He was supposed to give this to his beloved, Athena not some foreigner he'd never even met.
He smiled as Athena ran up to him. She always did this, running into his arms knowing he'd catch her and then spin her. Eros held her up and she looked down at him, smiling brightly " Morning sunshine , I missed you too ". Athena giggled " I missed you too ".
Eros gently placed her down and saw that the concubines were already almost gone " Morning court is over already "? Athena nodded " Her majesty doesn't waste time and quickly let's everyone go ".
Eros raised an eyebrow " She's not here "? Athena covered her mouth like she didn't know she'd said something wrong and shook her head " She left first ".
Eros sighed and kissed her forehead " I just hope she's not plotting any mischief . I'll stay at your place tonight then". Athena nodded skipping towards her quarters.
Dodwen appeared in his usual wine suit " I just hope she's not causing trouble again ". Eros laughed, patting his shoulder " We'll just have to see for ourselves ", and they left for Nectar's palace.

An unsuspecting Nectar was sitting at a round table eating breakfast with the kids. She'd already changed into a green spaghetti strap dress with short netty puffed sleeves with black fur boots. She had on a black heart shaped choker with matching dangling earrings and a black tiara.
She laughed as she buttered some bread for June. Nichole and Mario were fighting over the last cupcake with August yelling for Nichole and Jewlica for Mario, Nathan was busy stuffing his face with meat. This was how their meals had been for a week now, some sort of food fight with supporting fans.
At first they were quiet and well behaved, but when they realized they could be loud and not starve, all they did was shout at the table.
Nectar liked it though, she liked children to be energetic just like the many she'd met in her second life. Most of them had been through a lot of things a child shouldn't think about but yet they always had a smile to give.
They soon finished their meal and went outside for a walk. They always managed to drag Liam into their games and Liam always fell for the puppy dog eyes.
When they were sure they wouldn't get a tummy ache, they began jumping around giggling. Nichole and June pulled Liam's coat meaning they wanted to be carried. Liam happily obliged with June on his shoulders and Nichole in his arms.
Mario and Nathaniel were chasing each other while Nectar was chasing after Jewelica. It was chaotic but in a funny warm way. Soon they were all tired and collapsed on the floor laughing and panting.
Liam wasn't tired though and simply smiled down at the rest of them. The servants around nearly fainted, it didn't matter how many times they'd seen it but their beloved empress was sitting on the floor.
