Chapter 40 : The one he loves.

Though it was day in Lishflour, the Crepta continent is a strange place occupied by five very different kingdoms. But in the continent's centre, there was a star shaped fortress of various colors pointing in their directions.

It stood mysteriously with its old stone walls. It was believed that this fortress was actually as old as the continent it self. Wars never seemed to affect the place either.

Not many people had being able to enter and live to tell the tell either, even the royal families were wary but respectful towards its inhabitants.

But within its dense cold walls, a young man with lavender like hair frowned. Under the eve skylight on this side of the fortress, he could see the writing changing as the book flipped through furiously [ What's happening? ]

Jiro flipped through the book again and again unable to believe his eyes. He'd being reading stars for as long as he could remember. He'd seen many loved ones pass by and no longer able to bear the heartache, this fortress STAR'S POINT was gifted to him by the five kings of another dynasty to thank him for saving them from a disastrous tribulation, but no one would be able to guess that by his handsome youthful face.

The fortress he was in now had the stories of every person in the continent, dead or alive. The books would automatically arrange themselves in the direction of the kingdom a person is born in.

These books held the story of every single person's life on this continent and it was his job to make sure that destiny was followed.

He was to bring people who tried to defy their stories back on track and make sure they played their part in the cycle called life. Though he could meddle, it wasn't advise able but now he had to do something.

The books were rewriting themselves and though this was the second time, it was a lot stronger and not just changing chapters but even the endings which could only mean someone was out of line.

Something like this had never happened before and he didn't know who could be causing it.But all the books that kept changing were all coming from the same place, Lishflour [ I guess I'm taking a vacation ]

Athena felt her mood lift as she sighted Eros who was walking out of the main hall. He was in a black suit with white embellishments and a long fur cape.

But she frowned again as she followed his line of sight. He had a slight smile on his face as he watched Nectar. Though she really wanted to be mad at her, she'd done nothing except basically run away.

Though unladylike as she seemed, dragging that butler of hers but she didn't seem to want to be around. Athena stomped her foot and forced herself to calm down [ I can't lose my cool right now, let's just get his attention ]

Athena calmly walked over and stood in front of Eros who hadn't even noticed her yet [ Is she that amusing when she's silly? ] She could hear a slight chuckle from his lips as her figure suddenly blurred and disappeared.

Eros suddenly snapped his attention back to her [ Finally, he decided to notice me ] Athena pouted slightly as Eros spoke gently to her " Who's made my sunshine so gloomy "?

Athena crossed her arms, looking up at him " I'd lose my head if I said it was you ". Eros laughed " You don't have to worry your pretty little head, it fits right on your neck perfectly ".

Athena giggled slightly " I guess I can forgive you this time, just this once ". Eros smiled slightly " That's better, I'll make it up to you tonight then ". They were walking now and Athena was happy for the somewhat personal time she had with him before he had to get back to work.

" I'm really excited about the ball Eros, will it be just like the paintings in the ball room "? Eros sighed " Yes Athena, I'm really sorry it couldn't be yours. I know how much you wanted to plan it ".

Athena tilted her head, looking down at the gold brick road. The paths that led to palaces were made of marble while general routes were made of bricks since they were more frequented by many people " Its not your fault and you have responsibilities ".

Eros smiled and gave her gentle kiss " That's why I love you, always so understanding and caring. I could make Nectar let you plan if you wanted ". Athena smiled to herself shaking her head " That won't be necessary..."

But Eros had already cut her off as he frowned " What do you mean? Though it's the empresses welcoming tradition, she's not the one I love. I'll go speak to her right now ".

Athena was a bit stunned and her face turned red [ The one he loves ] but by the time she could gather herself he was already gone.

Titling her head, she watched him quickly walking away " Did he say something else? Probably just getting some work done...Nothing that concerns me at least ".

Athena basically flew to her palace thinking about what Eros just said " The one he loves ".

Reli couldn't help but cry as she clung to her brother's neck. She thought she'd be too ashamed to face them but she really missed them and jumped on them just as quickly.

Her eldest brother who she was holding chuckled " Alright Reli, let me go. I missed you too ". The youngest snickered playfully " And quit crying while you're at it, you're the ugliest crier we know ".

Reli let go of her brother and quickly punched her younger brother " Is that really the first thing you wanna say to me after two years Nosa "?

Nosa chuckled slightly, rubbing his arm " Nice to see you didn't lose your touch either ". Reli then looked at her second brother and nearly broke down again " I'm so sorry guys, especially you Wallie. I was so young and stupid and foolish ".

Wallie laughed as he patted her head " Don't worry about it Reli, its in the past now ". Reli nodded and her eldest brother,Arron spoke up " Alright alright, no more sad tales ".

Nosa nodded in agreement " Yeah, she's turned into such a crybaby too ". Reli furrowed her brows as she pinched his cheeks " You never change, to think I'd thought you'd be just a little bit more mature ".

The four siblings had now moved to a room in the pavilion Nectar allowed them use. The conversation flowed so naturally, no one would believe they'd cut off ties for almost two years.
