Chapter 100 : How do I look?
Nectar walked into the clothes shop she bought, she hadn't given it a name but she wanted it to be known that it was hers, so she decided to name it Blizzard's Stitches. Not because she was too lazy to come up with something more original.
Her head dress maker was a older lady around fifty years old. Her hair though light brown, had few strands of gray in it. It was packed in a bun with a pencil in between to keep it in place.
Her eyes instantly lit up when she saw Nectar, " Nice to see you again your majesty ". Nectar smiled, looking around at the finished pieces of clothing " I didn't mean to interrupt you Maria ".
Maria firmly shook her head, " Nonsense, I'm happy to have you ". Nectar's smile didn't relent as she moved about the clothes, " This look fantastic though ".
Maria smiled and Nectar turned to the others introducing them to each other, " Maria here is my dress maker and since we're going on a trip soon. I want you to pick whatever you want " [ Eros is paying ]
The kids all looked at each other hesitantly before excitedly run around, picking what they wanted. Liam tried to run back outside but Nectar caught him " Where do you think you're going "?
Liam laughed nervously, " To get some fresh air ". Nectar nodded, her disbelief obvious " Yeah, and I have a few clothes for you to try on first ". Liam couldn't resist as Nectar pulled him into some clothes.
She picked out many shirts made of silk and cotton in different colors and patterns as well as a few trousers. She didn't make him wear those but picked out a few suits for him.
She began throwing them towards him, " One blue, green, pink, red, gray, gold, black and white for all the kingdoms of Crepta ". When she turned around, Liam had turned into a rainbow of clothes, " Is this really necessary Qidu "? Nectar nodded seriously, " Of course it's absolutely necessary ".
Nectar guided him to a chair and made him sit, placing the clothes on him beside her as she began packing the suits up professionally as Liam bagged them, " Don't you think these are too much "? Nectar frowned waving him off, " You sound like a housewife. You're not the one paying so why are you so worried "?
Before an argument could ensue, Reli came out. She was dressed in a sleeveless gold dress covered in what appeared to be a white castle pattern at the hem, " Sister Empress, the dress is so pretty " [ And I can carry my sword underneath, so convenient ]
Nectar had a smug smile on her face, " Yeah, when my brains and your beautiful body come together ". Nectar made a mini explosion with her hands, " And BOOM, we're an awesome combination ".
They all laughed and continued picking clothes. They even made Nectar try on a few. She wore an elegant green dress covered in pink flower shaped lace and an off shoulder neck line.
It was an extremely puffy gown with blue streaks that formed into a white foamy froth at the base, making it look like a water fall. Nectar twirled in the dress and struck a pose, " How do I look "?
Her dazed audience quickly recovered and August clapped excitedly, " You look amazing Sister Qidu, a combination of goddesses Trewa and Gitaho ". Nectar giggled waving it off non chalantly, " You have such a sweet mouth Auggie ".
Liam coughed lightly, trying to hide his red face " It's nice on you, we should get it ". They all nodded in agreement and had it packed up. Mario picked out a loose blue and white striped shirt that was a half a size too big but Nectar thought it looked nice on him.
She'd let Nichole pick out a few high heels since the girl liked to believe she was tall. Nathaniel picked a few fur lined coats. June picked out white fingerless hand gloves with ruby's in it, she felt it'd be good for riding horses.
August picked out new boots for his herb garden while Jewlica picked whatever caught her eye. Fauna and Tera had been stiff most of the trip and were surprised when Nectar asked them to get changed.
They had on matching white capes and big black feathered hats with what appeared to be riding gear underneath. Though they felt good, they didn't speak or dare wish for clothes but Nectar had other plans.
" You both look amazing. You should really pick a few things for the trip. It'll start snowing soon ". Fauna and Tera interpreted it as an order and began picking out clothes with some help.
Nectar felt happy as she watched them all picking and fighting over the clothes. She sat on a sofa next to Liam and couldn't help but sigh [ Pollen used to make me go with her whenever she went shopping. She's the definition of indecisiveness. I miss her ]
She was brought out of her thoughts when Liam held her hand, " What's wrong this time "? Nectar only smiled faintly, " It's nothing, just remembered something ". Liam nodded, sitting up " If you don't feel well, we can just go back ".
Nectar frowned, removing her hand from his " Why would that happen "? Liam only smirked, robbing his chin " You don't seem too peppy to shop ". Nectar suddenly jumped up and stretched " I'm super energetic, let's keep going ".
As usual, Liam was left to pay as they chatted excitedly about where to go next. Nectar sculpted a shopping cart big enough for all their clothes and even had enough room to hold Jewlica and August who were pretending to be in quick sand.
They all refused to let Nectar push the elegantly carved cart so Nectar chatted with June as Liam came up to them, " We're all set and ready to go. Where to next "? Nectar shook her head lightly and suddenly declared, tapping June's nose, " To get some riding gear and stuff for horses ".
They'd barely walked out the door when Nectar frowned as she stared at Luscious who had being dragged here by Lucy and Fay following close behind.
His bored gazed disappeared as he looked at Nectar as well, speaking at the same time as they pointed an accusing finger at each other, " Why are you following me "?
