Rebirth of A heartless empress

      Liam sighed as he resisted the urge to frown and instead nearly broke the spoon in his hand [ He's up to something, I just know it ] He jolted slightly as something wet hit his face. 


   Touching his cheek, he realized it was water and looked at Nectar with a bored expression. She smiled innocently, making him laugh [ Doesn't matter, I shall destroy him anyway ]     


      " Tell me, do you have any particular interests your ladyship "? Bonsi looked up, knowing she was the one being referred to, " Me "? Nectar nodded slightly, " You've been quiet so let's make it all about you for a while ". 


    Bonsi laughed, " You're quite observant " [ That's a first ] Nectar was waiting expectantly and Bonsi tapped her chin lightly, " I would say gardening but let's stick with collecting ".


    Gus tilted his head to the side, " What do you collect your ladyship "? Archie suddenly chimed in, chicken in hand " Anything and everything. But mostly things she call nick nacks ". 


      Bonsi turned red and laughed nervously [ Maybe this wasn't a good idea ] As if reading the situation, Liam said with smirk as he looked at Nectar " Our empress here only sleeps and eat ", Liam spoke with a smirk. Axis nodded, " Hardly a hobby ". 


     Nectar frowned, " Of course it is. I don't just sleep, I come up with ways to make it even more comfortable. Have you seen my carriage? And I cook too ". She looked at Luscious, " You've eaten it, tell them how good it was Luscious ". 


    Luscious laughed and nodded, " First time I tasted meat that's been cooked that way and not surprisingly, I loved it ". Bonsi gasped slightly, " Your majesty made the cute little meat cubes Archie brought us "? 


     Nectar smiled smugly, " The one and only ". Kancor suddenly slammed his fists on the table, getting everyone's attention and looked at Nectar like a lost puppy, " How could you do this OB? I want some too ". 


   They laughed and Archie spoke between bites, " Don't worry, Sister Qidu gave Uncle Lu lots of it. I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing ". Luscious frowned slightly [ Why would I give out something she gave me? ] and Nectar suddenly spoke, " Please Luscious, pretty please ". 


    Luscious' frown immediately disappears and he covered his mouth, coughing lightly " When you put it like that, I'd be happy too ". [ She's too cute ] 


     Eros frowned, tapping his finger on the table [ She told me it had finished ] and looked at Nectar [ But had enough to give them ] He mumbled to himself, " Unacceptable ". 


     Reli was the first to notice Eros sudden change in mood and he was looking at Nectar. She signalled Athena to do something and she nodded. Smiling, she spoke " Sister Empress and I put a lot of work into this meal. Is it not to your liking Eros "?


     Eros turned to her, eyebrow raised slightly " She did "? Athena nodded casually, " Of course, every piece of bread on this table was handmade by her majesty ". Dodwen choked on his food as he glanced at Athena [ Did she just lie!? This is the first time Athena's lied for anyone ] 


       Athena had a bright smile on her face and Melanie quickly added, " Her majesty did mention something about a surprise earlier. Who else would it be for, if not you "? The three looked at Melanie and she immediately realized what she'd said and whispered, " Oops "? 


     Eros was smiling now, " Well, when you put it like that. I'm looking forward to it ". The four smiled but internally screamed and panicked [ We're so screwed ] [ The empress won't blame me for this, right? ] [ Me and my big mouth ] [ I can't believe I lied! ]
