Chapter 176 : Save me a seat...
The seats were drawn out by the servants for their masters who sat. Though reluctant, Nectar took her seat next to Eros and Liam wasn't on her other side this time. She looked at Jewlica and patted herself on the back [ Do it for the kids ]
The plan was simple, have the kids in between them and hope they stay out of trouble. Reli and Melanie had even been dragged into it as well. So Jewlica sat next to Nectar, Nathaniel on Reli's left and Nichole on her right, Melanie on the other side and June with August. Liam had Mario on his right.
" You look nice Nectar ". She turned to Eros with a slightly stunned expression, as she pointed at herself [ What's he doing? ] " I do "? He nodded with a smile and Nectar smiled back, " And you look as amazing as always ".
" Didn't think you'd notice ", she looked at Kancor who was on the other side of the table and rolled her eyes, " I wasn't talking to you ". He shrugged as he pulled out the chair for Caitlin, " And who said I was talking to you "?
Nectar turned slightly red as she glared at him. He smiled innocently as he took his seat. Nectar tapped the table lightly as she thought of a comeback. " Are you sure we can sit here "?
Dimitri nodded as he sat, with Nova in between him and Kancor. Nectar found herself staring at her [ Something seems different about her ] but shook it off [ There must be something wrong with me? Why would I think that? ]
" Awn, and I wanted to sit with Sister Qidu ". Nectar looked behind her at Archie who had a slightly disappointed pout on his face. Caitlin giggled as she pointed at the seat next to her, " I saved you a seat next to me ".
He raised his arms in the air and smiled, " That's why I love you Aunt Caitlin ". They all laughed as he ran to the other side and took his seat next to Caitlin. He waved at Luscious who he came with, " Seat next to me Uncle Lu ".
He did as he was told, Bonsi and Axis sitting next to him. " Did anyone save us a seat "? Lucy seemed a bit breathless, " Sorry, we went to the wrong table. Tell me there's still a spot next to Sister Qidu ".
Nova pointed at the two seats next to Dimitri, " There are still a few over there if you don't mind ". Lucy ran to the other side excitedly, " Awesome ". They laughed again as they took their seats.
Nectar nearly jumped when Eros spoke into her ear. He waited for a reaction but she laughed nervously, " I'm sorry your majesty, I couldn't quite make that out ". He didn't believe it at first but she looked at him blankly [ Does that mean she didn't hear what I said the other day? ]
He squeezed her hand gently and looked her in the eye, " I said everyone seems to want you, so I'm lucky to already have you ". She resisted the urge to gag and hit her head on the table [ Bullshit! Complete and utter bullshit ] and raised her inner heat to seem like she was blushing.
She smiled as she took her hand back, " That means a lot, coming from you ". Eros seemed satisfied with her reaction while she resisted the urge to roll her eyes and wipe her hand clean.
That was when Nova suddenly started laughing and Dimitri quickly asked what they were all thinking, " What's so funny "? Her laughter reduced some as she wiped a tear from her eye, " I saw something I found funny ".
Nectar suddenly felt as though she was the reason behind the laughter but shook her head [ Could she have seen me through? Impossible ] But it wasn't only Nova that noticed, Kancor did too.
Honestly, he was annoyed when Eros was so close to Nectar and when he held her hand but the way she took her hand back was way to familiar [ I never did figure out how she managed to fake that blush of hers ]
" Glad to see we're all having a good time ", Athena smiled as she took a seat on Eros' over side. Jiro sat next to her, " And if you didn't already know, this is our Continent's Star Reader, Jiro ".
Jiro waved as he took his seat next to Athena, " Nice to officially meet you all ". Alice quietly took her seat on the other side of Jiro. Nectar suddenly cleared her throat and picked her spoon, twirling it with a smile " Enough with the chit chat. Let's eat ".
