"In short, you were aware of your surrounding but you were not able to respond?"
"That is indeed correct, father."
Sip*
I answered and took a sip of the milk I was drinking while talking with my parents. Looks like I have to invent tea as soon as possible.
After the sunset, my parents invited me to another room. It was another room with soft carpets and cushions to sit on the ground like traditional Arabian culture. A small table was also placed containing refreshments like honey buns ad hot milk. From the talks of the maid, I guessed that these things are luxury in this era.
Anyway, I have answered all of their questions regarding my memory and they also answered my questions too. My guess was correct that I am not yet a prince. There is a ritual held in the temple where my aptitude will be measured tomorrow and if I came with high magic power then I will be the prince and if not then I could only work my way at the age of fifteen and become strong so no one could challenge me for my position.
The system is mostly followed like Wakanda from Black Panther where a reputable person could challenge the authority of a king and become a new king. However, this event happened one time since natives are more dictator oriented than diplomatic. Why would they even compete with the king? Since according to my mother, the first king works hard to make this kingdom prosperous then linage went on to my father who seemed eager to give this position to me as soon as possible. He was mumbling something paperwork but I ignored it.
"It is good then. I will take you to the temple where you will receive your magic attribute as well as the title of new prince of Babylon. Don't worry, even if you have a low attitude I am sure that you will work hard to become strong."
Wow, I have to give this man applaud for talking to 4 years old child in such a manner. I know he will not give up till he made me strong to leave his position to me. I am not denying working hard but if he is thinking to leave easily then he is dead wrong.
"Don't scare our son. He has just woken up from illness. Let him recover for few days then we will discuss his training."
The mother seems to have such a gentle nature despite having monstrous strength. By the way, she was an adventurer before she became the wife of the king. Yes, adventurers do exists in this world but I have to investigate further.
"Hah, I know…"
"Mother, you don't have to worry. I want to become strong and handsome like father!" I said with excitement in my eyes and lost a bit of composure only to receive glowing eyes from my parents but they also controlled themselves since they can't spoil me at this time.
"That's the spirit son! Then let's have dinner. After that sleep well so that you could wake up early." He said then servants brought dinner and we ate well while chatting. It seems that they didn't want to pry on the matter of my unresponsive nature so they treated me well. For now, I decided to eat salty roasted meat with hot milk. Tomorrow will be the day that will determine my aptitude. My lips curved and I grinned just thinking about finding my abilities.

"I know that you hate your job of paperwork but I won't allow you to burden my son," Celia said laying with her husband in the bedroom.
"Tch, I know… But he has to be strong since neighboring nations will not sit idly and make problems with Babylon. To avoid future bloodshed, I avoided having a second child but if he won't be able to come to my expectations then we will make another child. And don't stop me from taking harsh decisions."
Nisar said looking at the ceiling.
"Hmm, I know. The future of Babylon lies in his ability and if he was able to activate the 'key' then he will be future king for sure."
"I hope Demonic Catastrophe never come or…"
"Shh, don't say these words. That rosy incubus was just messing with you."
"Yeah…"

On the second day, it was my first time to set foot outside the castle. From the outside, the castle is a little different from what I imagined. It is rather… short and not too flashy like the castle in FGO Babylonia. It is to be expected since that castle was something Gilgamesh constructed himself.
Anyway, I temple of Uruk is few meters away from the main castle. I didn't even see many people since father, no king may have stopped them from coming to the temple. Temple is not a religious place but something that people pay their respect to. People here worship the "One" who bestows the magical crest to the king. Temple is also responsible for conducting the martial ceremony most simply. In return, they receive donations from people. From the description, the temple is very different from generic churches that appear in anime or other fictions.
Anyway, we entered the temple which was very simplistic domed shaped. A single sword was placed highly in the middle which was supposed to be pointing at heaven.
"Respect to our beloved king." A man in robes said bowing respect to father. He then bowed to me and my mother. "My king, if you have asked me then I would have come to the castle for the ritual."
"No need uncle priest. My son has just woken from his illness. He needs some fresh air." King said with a majestic voice.
"It seems our prayers were heard by our lord. It is good to see the young prince back. Then please come to the chamber. We will test there."
He then led me to a room where we sat on the simplistic looking room.
"Why did you call him uncle?" I asked the king who called the priest uncle which was a little weird.
"Because he is your father's grand uncle. He is the cousin of the second king." Mother answered.
"Really?"
"Yeah, the first king married had many wives and numerous children. Let's say that two-fifth of the total population of Uruk are his children. He had at least 50 to 60 children."
"Oh…" Jesus what?!! The hell is wrong with him? I turned my head to my father who showed me thumbs up like saying 'become strong and have a harem.' For god sake, this is a 4 years old child you are talking about.
Soon the priest appeared followed by a servant with a big crystal ball in his hands. Savant placed the crystal ball and then left.
The priest then started to explain to me the magic system of this nation. It could be a little weird for him to telling this long-ass explanation to a 4 years old child but it was my father's instruction so he abides by that.
Anyway, the ball would measure my magic power if I put my hand on it. If the light reaches the surface of a crystal ball from the center then I have first-class magic but if it doesn't glow then I have not yet enough magic. The possible age to awaken magic is 6 but my linage is always born with magic power.
There is also a rank system similar to a cultivation novel I remembered. All mages or adventurers who used magic are categorized in the following level ranks.
Lv 1-10 Novice
Lv 11-20 Apprentice
Lv 21-30 Adept
Lv 31-40 Expert
Lv 41-50 Master
Lv 51-60 Grandmaster
Lv 61-70 Lord
Lv 71-80 Saint
Lv 81-90 Legend
Similar to cultivation novels, the higher the ranks are loner the life span will be. How these ranks are determined? He didn't explain to me since it is the job of the adventurers' guild.
He didn't explain to me what lies after level 90 neither did I ask. I have a system that will explain to me everything I want to know plus I can ask my father or mother for help. There are also conditions for various levels like legend could only be a king or someone with higher linage like dragon blood or has traces of divinity.
"Young master, please put your hand on the crystal and clear your mind."
I nodded at the priest's instruction but the moment I put my hand on the crystal, it cracked and shattered into pieces.
"What?!"
All three adults were stunned with their mouths wide open. I had the idea that this could happen like other overpowered generic isekai protagonists but I didn't expect that it could be this fast.
"What happened, father?" I asked with puppy eyes like I was scared.
"Oh don't worry sweetie, this crystal ball was not made to measure of higher attribute so don't need to worry. You are passed to have a higher level of magic."
My mom consoled me with her arm hugging me. I smiled and nodded.
[Ding! Mission D has been completed]
[Mission D: Get your magic power examined with the temple of Uruk. The scale of magic power will determine your future.
Rewards: Stats unlock, leeway to next mission, and the title of 'Prince'.]
I saw the notification in front of me but I close them with my mind instantly. I didn't want to show this system thing to my parents since their instincts are sharp.
"Congrats son. You are now my the prince of Babylon." Father said with a smile. I didn't know why but he seemed eager to train me. I knew that it was not something good but I responded normally.
"Yatta! Let's have a grand feast." Mother didn't let go of this chance to hug me but this time she didn't squeeze me. Well, I was cute as heck. Even if archer Gil was an asshole, Kid Gil was way more cautious and easy going.
"Congratulations young- no, young prince. I will be looking forward to it" Priest said with a smile. After that, I left with my mother while my father remained at the temple.
---
"You know what to do." King Nisar said and took out a magic staff from his dimension pocket.
"It will be my honor, my beloved king. My life and soul lies in your hand." The priest said and bent down on his knees.
"Very well. Sleep well." King Nisar said pointing the staff towards the priest and cast a spell, [Instant Death]
Priest shuddered then light left his eyes and he fell on the ground. King Nisar sighed and then covered the dead body with a sheet and left.
