Sit Still And Look Pretty

So my dad planned to have Tessa over on Friday night. I'm sure he wants us in....oh I'm sorry. I'm sure he wants me in my best behavior by then.

I walk into class in an offset mood and walk straight to Matt's locker. As usual, his head was down on the table.

"Thanks for the other day." I state, but he doesn't say anything. Slowly he looks up and sits right before he sighs.

"You surely don't look like someone who's thankful on this bright Monday morning." He says dryly.

"Just because the day's bright, doesn't mean we have to be." I retort and he knits his eyebrows together.

"Thanks anyway." I repeat, then turn and walk straight to my locker.

The bell rings signalling the start of first period, but I could still feel Matt's stare on me.
