Dinner.

Today's the dinner date.

Daddy had already pressed us about how proper and polite we should be.

Guess he cares way more for what Tessa thinks than how we his children feel.

"Don't worry dad." Alec reassured him over and over again. "We'll be on our best behavior."

Dad was already on his way to work when he decided to give us an early morning lecture.

"I hope you all will." He says, his words directly aimed at me.

"I invited someone over to make dinner for us since I'd be working late, so-"

"Why can't we make the dinner ourselves?" I ask him, interrupting his lecture.

"Because I'm going to come home late, Alec doesn't know how to cook to save his life, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to cook either."

Oh.

I didn't know what to say because everything he uttered out was right.

"Or am I wrong?" He asks and I look away for a second.
